Their supposed source is some random website that claims different data: https://www.univstats.com/corestats/lowe...tion-rate/

Use ED data instead.

In 2018, WGU's graduation rate was 14 percent, according to the most recent data provided by the U.S. Department of Education's Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.

https://www.naplesnews.com/story/news/20...100561456/

Now the College scorecard has them at 54%

https://collegescorecard.ed.gov/school/?...University

When a large part of the student body is adult learners, transfer students, or other factors, the graduation rate won't reflect the actual % of people who graduate that go through the university.

The government never ever in history puts out misinformation so don't blame them.

From Wiki:

Granite State College is a public college in Concord, New Hampshire. It is part of the University System of New Hampshire.

Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Concord, Granite State College is one of the four institutions of the University System of New Hampshire. Its mission is to serve adult students of all ages and it provides mostly online classes.

When I Google the school the info column on the right says 53% graduation rate.

Wow, OK, sorry that I threw out some bad data.  Apparently it's not even just a little off, it's waay off.  I always assume that "mistakes" like that are not really mistakes but I'm not sure why someone would push bad data on college graduation rates.

So what does a graduation rate really tell us about a college? I looked up several different schools. Many of the ones we talk about here a lot are pretty low. NAU was one of the better ones that I learned about from this forum. One local college is REALLY high. They are at like 65%. They have a really good reputation around here. My Alma mater, was below the midpoint. But the college where I got my paralegal certificate (in person) was also 65%. Are the better rates more selective in who they allow in? Does it have to do with what degrees they offer? Does it matter if you are a HS graduate trying to make a decision? Or is it just “fun facts”?

Grad rates are based on incoming freshman who graduate within 4 or 6 years depending on which chart one reads. This excludes all transfer students.

I couldn't tell you what any of the school's I attended grad rate was/is. Didn't matter to me. Doesn't mean much anyway. No one knows about anyone's hardships at home, finances, struggles in life, struggle with courses, etc. All of those things factor into why it takes people however long it takes them to graduate if they graduate.

One key thing I would look at is the average GPA of college graduates. That would probably give some indication of how hard the school is and if there may be a bunch of landmine DFW courses.

Getting a degree is nice but you could face discrimination if your GPA is below 3.0.
