Online degrees from Universiti Malaya

I don't think it's weird. More courses - more time to complete, more instruction, more marking - ergo more Malaysian ringgit to pay. Often the same in North America. Bachelor's here costs less per credit hour, but nearly 4x the credit hours. 30+ (Master's) 120 (Bachelor's). They have darn good schools in Malaysia. Been following 'em on and off for 15+ years.

I have a high school student looking into UM; I've contacted their admissions department and gotten no definitive info from them about when their next intake will commence. I'll try to update this thread with whatever insights about the university we can glean.

International University of Malaya-Wales, an independent institution established by University Malaya and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, is offering an online MBA for around $4k USD. Do note, however, that the degree will be under IUMW and not from the two affiliated universities.

Their website indicates a February intake. Not sure if this is their only intake period or not.

[messed up quoting, my bad]

Thank you for checking too, but the student is apparently looking to be on-campus for Semester 1 of the 22-23 school year. Even their AO didn't know when the UM application period would commence when I talked to them two months ago... however, their website seems to have just been updated, since it now shows that applications opened up today!
