#51
Where can I find a list of YourWay courses that are offered (without signing up) I don't see it on the website?

Yes Rachel I ask them I just want to enroll in the self paced YOURWAY program several times and adviser said NO is not for international students.

So I can not follow this program at all.

That's too bad. It'd be nice if they allowed international non-visa-seeking students. Sad

https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Ol...le_courses While the catalog is not specifically about YourWay courses, the descriptions do seem to match well with what you find once you are logged into YourWay.

But did you try to register? I am also an international student and I am registered. In fact, I am currently taking a course. I simply filled out the form, and after 3 days, they sent me the confirmation of acceptance.

Hi Rachel yes I fill the application on line then I receive a form from a registrar or adviser in my inbox then I see the requesting me to fill my legal status F1 visa has to be approved.
So I decide to ask them why I need a visa for a self-paced online program and she response me back I do not understand the way of working but is to confuse they suppose to let every body know who qualify for this program and it is not completely free because I have to pay for the transcript at the end.
I put a citation of what the asked me at the beginning with an attachment.

"We are pleased you are interested in attending Olivet Nazarene University to pursue your academic career. As an international student with an F-1 student visa, you will be required to follow the attached admission process. (Please see attachment)

The attachment is an International information letter for you to review with the items needed for admission. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you through this process. We will need all of the documents before we can review for admittance. You can send by email to get the process started, however if you are admitted, we will need the original documents to be brought with you when you arrive on campus. The first step is to apply online to the University.
We have provided a check list on this form so you can mark off what you will need to submit. We are looking forward to working with you during this admission process.
If you have any questions, please let me know."

Ah, if you have an F1 visa, it makes sense that the process would be different than if you're an international student outside the US.

But for a self-paced online course you need a visa??? none sense but I look forward other options with another school.
I already enrolled to a community college I will pay a little bit more but at least I can get an associate degree not a waste of time and money.

There is a misunderstanding here: If you have an F1 visa, you MUST do in-person classes or your student visa gets revoked. If you do not have/need a visa, no such requirement exists if you are taking classes from outside of the US.

I asked here the same question and she still said no, I do not qualify if you have another contact person from that university that we can contact and ask for other advice we can confirm that information.
This is the contact person "Darlene Swanson dswanso2@olivet.edu"  she response me that,  Rachel if you want to try by your side and make this clear and let us know Huh .

It is up to the individual school whether or not they will accept international students who do not have, need, or want a student visa. But, based on the fact that ajlm1984 is international and signed up for Olivet, there is certainly miscommunication somewhere. I have no idea where. It could be that someone let ajlm1984 in when they shouldn't have or it could be that someone is misunderstanding gams007's need for a student visa. There are a lot of factors at play here; some of which are outside of the school's control. They need to make sure that they are legally in the clear and are most likely going to err on the side of caution rather than get into trouble with the US government.
