Olivet Nazarene YourWay (more cheap RA credits) - dfrecore - 01-27-2021 There is not a lot online yet, but a very knowledgable homeschooling mom contacted the school and had a long conversation with the person in charge of this program, and she gave me the info. https://online.olivet.edu/yourway This is VERY similar to ASU's EA program: you enroll and take courses, and if you like the grade, you can have the course put on a transcript. The biggest differences: 1) there is no cost to enroll and take a course; 2) it's only $50/cr; 3) it's more limited as far as number of courses available; 4) there are 2 UL BALS courses; and 5) all courses are self-paced. Another key thing: the UL History course will work as TESU's Non-Western History requirement for the History degree! Here's the current list of courses, and they are planning on adding more in March: ENG 109 - College Writing I ENG 200 - College Writing II COM 105 - Oral Communication FIN 105 - Fine Arts ENG 204 - World Literature BIB 105 - Introduction to Christianity BIB 215 - Understanding the Bible THE 310 - Christianity and Culture (UL) MTH 117 - Finite Math BIO 201 - General Biological Science HIS 210 - Western Civilization HIS 379 - Latin American History and Politics (UL) SOC 120 - Introduction to Sociology FAC 126 - Nutrition, Health, and Fitness RE: Olivet Nazarene YourWay (more cheap RA credits) - rachel83az - 01-27-2021 Will their Finite Math work for TESU's Discrete Math requirement? If so, I would be very interested in taking their math course vs. the one at SDC. But the easiest way to find out would be to enroll so that you could get the syllabus and compare it to TESU's MAT-270: Discrete Math course syllabus. RE: Olivet Nazarene YourWay (more cheap RA credits) - nomaduser - 01-27-2021 I really like their pricing! this is cheaper than Tel Learning! $150 for a course sounds amazing. Let me apply to them now. RE: Olivet Nazarene YourWay (more cheap RA credits) - Cofffeee - 01-27-2021 Wonder if ENG 109 - College Writing I will come up as Eng Com 1 at TESU RE: Olivet Nazarene YourWay (more cheap RA credits) - ashkir - 01-27-2021 They are comissioned by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a Regional Accredation group!!!!! RE: Olivet Nazarene YourWay (more cheap RA credits) - Cofffeee - 01-27-2021 Yes it will be new to go for RA credit for many here due to changes with TESU RE: Olivet Nazarene YourWay (more cheap RA credits) - rachel83az - 01-27-2021 (01-27-2021, 11:15 AM)Cofffeee Wrote: Wonder if ENG 109 - College Writing I will come up as Eng Com 1 at TESU They are already in TESU's transfer list: https://www.tesu.edu/admissions/transfer-credit ENGL 109 (College Writing I) = ENC 101 (English Comp I) ENGL 209, 210 (not the exact same course numbers but still College Writing II) = ENC 102 (English Comp II) RE: Olivet Nazarene YourWay (more cheap RA credits) - Cofffeee - 01-27-2021 Thanks a lot RE: Olivet Nazarene YourWay (more cheap RA credits) - dfrecore - 01-27-2021 (01-27-2021, 11:55 AM)rachel83az Wrote:(01-27-2021, 11:15 AM)Cofffeee Wrote: Wonder if ENG 109 - College Writing I will come up as Eng Com 1 at TESU There are only a few courses in there that match. BUT, the good news is that the courses that I saw that were UL through ONU were also UL at TESU. |
