New CSU Global CBEs! They make TESU and Excelsior look bad and COSC look really bad.
#1
I love how CSU Global is not just creating generic exams that are already covered three or four times over by other exam options. Uexcel and TECEP need to pick up their game. I made the petty title with the hopes that TESU will see it since they sometimes check this forum. Too bad COSC is being stupid about accepting these exams even though they are probably the only CBEs out there that qualify for financial aid. These new exams make more TESU degrees test-friendly leaving COSC in the dust. Sorry. COSC made me really angry recently.

Some of the CJ options have been around for a few months, but there are some very new ones that I can't pick out, so I'm just going to list them all.

WOW!! Some of these are excellent. They just made TESU's BSBA in Ops Management even more doable! I think the Project Management course and the Leadership in Ops Management will fit in there perfectly. They just added an UL Finance course, people are always looking for those. More UL Tech courses (Ethical Hacking!!). Just wow. Now THIS is how a school adds CBE's! Thanks for the TECEP's, but we just don't need ANOTHER way to take Sociology 101...

The BSBA in Marketing is now 100% test-friendly. You no longer have to take the Penn Foster course in Market Research. I think the CSU Global CBE in Organizational Development has been around for several months, but that also might make the BSBA in Human Resources Management 100% test-friendly. People were always looking for an alternative for the Organizational Development and Change/Organizational Theory requirement. Also, if you can't make it to a Pearson testing center, then you can test out of the programming requirement for the BSBA in CIS.

I just went and spent 8 weeks driving an hour each way for a class at a satellite campus of my local cc to get that Org Theory requirement met! I would have loved to take it through CSU-Global. And you're right about Marketing and CIS. Now they just need to do one for Quality Assurance so that Ops Management is 100% test friendly as well.

Nice find! I may e-mail CSU to see if I can convince them to put together a CBE exam on human trafficking. I submitted the idea to TESU, but of course they are slacking on it and didn't respond. Its a shame given that it's one of the biggest crimes in the country and there are so few college courses on it, but tons of service agencies needing knowledgeable people.

I think all of CSU's CBEs are based off of courses offered. You can probably look at their criminal justice and sociology courses to see if they have one for human trafficking.

Edit: I checked their criminal justice, homeland security, public management, criminology, and sociology courses. I didn't see anything on human trafficking. The closest thing is a sociology courses on Race, Gender, and Ethnic Relations. You might want to look for transnational crime courses at other schools.

In post #4, I said they needed to do a Quality Assurance CBE to make Ops Mgmt more test-friendly.
