Study.com Wrote:Thanks so much for this feedback! We'll look into this and see if we can make that happen. We'd love more information from you about how you'd want this service to work as well. Are there any specific requests you have about a transcript service like this and how it would function?
Study.com, I'm thrilled to hear that this direct transcript may be an option through you! My main experience with doing this has been through SL, so I will use them as my example.
It's a very easy process to request a transcript through SL. Each time a course is finished a request can be made to have an official transcript sent to college/university of choice. They also have a button to check if you'd like to have an "unofficial" transcript emailed to yourself at the same time. It is also possible to wait and have multiple courses added to a transcript and sent to the end school. I'm not sure if they send them via secure email or if it is through the mail. This request can be made in addition to having the course(s) added to a student's ACE account/transcript. I usually do both. I prefer to have the SL transcript sent directly to TESU as it goes through more quickly.
This is the faq as an example of what study.com could do as well: straighterline.com/faq/ Wrote:To have us send your transcript, simply submit a Transcript Request from your StraighterLine account.
ACE Credit has evaluated and recommended our courses. More than 2,000 colleges and universities consider ACE CREDIT recommendations in determining the applicability to their course and degree programs. Our students also report that they've connected with more than 400 colleges outside of our partner network that have recognized StraighterLine courses. That said, if you plan to complete your degree at a non-partner college, we strongly recommend that you understand the school's credit-transfer process before purchasing a StraighterLine course to make sure you won't have any problems.

AWESOME! Even though they are not ACE-recommended for UL, TESU has made 7 of them UL, which is fantastic. So now, there are 7 additional UL courses available to finish the Business AOS, with 3 of the 4 areas covered (ACC, MAN, & MAR - just need FIN)
Here they are:
Study.com course - TESU equivalent (notes)
Required in Core
Financial Accounting ACC-101
Managerial Accounting ACC-102
Principles of Finance FIN-301
HR concentration, or MAN in AOS
Labor Relations - LAS-321
Strategic Human Resources Management HRM-362 (does not duplicate Human Resources Management which is HRM-331)
ACC concentration, ACC in AOS
Applied Managerial Accounting ACC-301 (does not duplicate SL's Managerial Accounting which is TESU's Cost Accounting ACC-303)
Advanced Accounting ACC-401
OPM concentration or MAN in AOS
Project Management MAN-435
MAR concentration or MAR in AOS
Digital Marketing & Advertising MAR-441

With Microeconomics added and Business Communication pushed to 3 credits, the entire BSBA GM core would be covered through Study.com. I am holding out hope that this is possible soon. Good work, Study.com!

At this point, the General Management AOS would also be covered, with 9 UL courses available in 3 of the 4 areas. If they did a couple of FIN courses, that would be great.

It's great to see all the UL courses and the newly updated TESU transfer list!
I feel a little tempted to change my major from the BA.SS to a business related major so I can take some of the newer courses and have them count. But I'm pretty sure my husband would not be encouraging me on that switch at this point <hehe>. :toetap:

This is great news. I am gunshy, so I am still going to have TESU pre-plan Project Management into my degree, but this is a much more cost-effective option than Sophia.
