I saw study.com as an excellent tool, but wasn't planning on using it. By the time I had found out about it I had already used clep for most of the things I needed.
Now that accounting 1&2 have been added... I think study.com will be getting my business over clep.
TESU March 2020 Graduation
--ASNSM Mathematics
--BSBA Accounting
--BA Computer Science
University of Alaska Fairbanks (December 2021 Graduation Goal)
--MBA (2/10 : 4.0)
I started this journey in the summer of 2016. I hoped to be done sooner, but I am still proud of the rate at which I have gotten my schooling done with respect to the many months of military training and deployments I have undergone.

This is great! I am putting in another vote that sudy.com try to offer more courses that are recommended by ACE as upper level credit.

Does anyone know where or how the study.com courses transfer to COSC? Although I don't see these new courses yet on the TESU study.com transfer guide page. I just don't see any Transfer Guide for Charter Oak State College, even though study.com shows them as a partner school. I'm interested in the business courses most to get a BSBA from COSC. It just seems there are so many options for a business the courses by name alone, but not all are created equal on evaluation (LL vs UL).

All the courses I have taken via Study.com transferred with no issue to COSC. I would get all the LL credits you need via Study.com and any upper level via UExcel or DSST.

A couple of Study.com courses will transfer in as upper level at COSC because they are evaluated by ACE as upper level, specifically Advanced Operations Management and Advanced Technical Writing.
It is unlikely that any courses evaluated as lower level by ACE will transfer in as upper level at COSC.
If Study.com adds more courses that ACE recommends as upper level this will make a huge difference, as far as their usefulness at COSC. For example, since Study.com already has lower level, Business 107 Organizational Behavior, it would be nice if the Business 307 Leadership and Organizational Behavior were actually evaluated as upper level by ACE. An upper level Organizational Behavior course and more upper level business courses would be great for the BSBA from COSC.
Similarly, if History 306 The American Civil War Era and 308 Causes and Effects of the Vietnam War were evaluated as upper level, these would be useful at COSC. As it is now, you are much better off taking the DSST exams in these cases for COSC because the DSST exams are evaluated as upper level.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

l8989v, Can I ask you which History of Vietnam War you completed through study.com? I am currently doing the History 108 History of the Vietnam War but I also see on the TESU transfer chart that 308 Causes and Effects of the Vietnam War is accepted. Both are transferred in as HIS-351 A History of the Vietnam War. I assume you did the 108 because that's what your sig line says but they both transfer as that course name so I was just wondering. I am worried that one will be accepted and the other is a typo. Seems weird that a 108 and 308 course would both be transferred as the same.

One problem with the equivalency charts for COSC is that they will list equivalencies that may be misleading. For instance, Study.com BUS 107: Organization Behavior shows COSC MGT 315, but COSC does not actually give upper level credit for this course since it is not reviewed as such by ACE. So you do get credit for the course and it satisfies the OB requirement, but you will not get upper level credit. I really wish COSC would clarify this on their equivalency charts.
