I've been lurking for a few days and I'm trying to figure out which school/degree is best for me. I have about 138 LL credits from various community colleges. I want to finish my degree asap and as cheap as possible. My previous classes are listed under my profile. Which degree/college is currently the least expensive? My end game is to get licensed to teach, which Las Vegas is currently helping with so long as the degree is regionally accredited. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I just looked at your list of classes. Most (if not all) colleges will require a certain number of upper level credits to graduate. I don't see that you have any.
The Big 3 require a minimum of 30 UL credits to graduate. The good thing about that is you can earn them in various ways including exams and outside college credit.
This forum has a WEALTH of information that you can search and sort through to get you started. I started in the same place as you about a month ago with 121 (mostly LL) credits. I have since completed 4 additional courses and well on my way to a Bachelors degree with the help of this forum.
With all that said, I suggest you sit down and map out a rough draft of a degree plan and work your plan.

Looking at your credits, I would first go ahead and apply to the Big 3 schools, COSC, TESC and EXCelsior amd see where the credits lie and what you would need to complete. It looks like you have a good credit mix fotr TESCs BSBA CIS. This id because you have a good mix of business and info sys related courses. TESC limits CC credit to 80. They will take all your credits, but will apply up to 80 to a degree program. This means for TESC, you will need an additional 40 credits with 18 being in the upper level in your major, which can mostly be done with the business cleps. Another cool thing is you can play around with your academic eval and see what ifs for other degree plans.
COSC will take 87 credits, but you will also need to take at least two courses with them.
Before you begin, make sure these schools are what you want. You have a lot of credits, which may bring you close at a local 4 year school.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

12 Upper level in core, which sucks cause you have already completed so many computer courses. Maybe they will take some of your classes as their UL equivlent like SA&D or networking concepts.

I would suggest applying to at least COSC and TESC. Maybe Excelsior too, but I don't have any experience there.
BSBA:CIS at TESC is will probably be the cheaper option, but you will have to take a lot of Business classes, where the Info Sys Concentration at COSC could be more non-business ULs.
For the 12 ULs in the BSBA:CIS, MIS DSST and Networking TECEP should be easy based on your background. For the other two courses, do a forum search for CSU Global.

I haven't written degree plans for a long time, but just in general I have some feedback. You need to stop accumulating lower level credit until you pick a school/degree. Any degree from any college will require a combination of lower and upper level- you are full of lower level. You could do this yourself, but I'm going to also agree that it would be a wise investment to go ahead and pay to apply at one or more of the big 3. I don't expect the difference to be dramatic, so if you're on a budget, just pick 1 school. However, if you pick liberal arts on 1 application and business on another, that's not helpful- you need to select 1 path and go.
I know you're going to ask "but I don't care WHAT my degree is, I just want the one that uses my credits to their fullest/fastest degree." That will happen after you apply. You need to see how close you are to filling all your lower levels. I didn't look closely, but let's say you didn't take a science yet, well that's a requirement for everyone- so these holes will come up when you apply.
Finally, the cheap credit is 100/200 level. CLEP exams don't ever fill upper level, so you're going to have to find exams or classes that meet your upper level requirements- if it were me, that would be part of the criteria for choosing my major. If you're on the fence, business is a good choice. You won't have any trouble filling those through inexpensive courses and testing.
