My 17 year old is done!!!!
#11
Thank you all! She never could have done it without all of the advice and encouragement from all of you here on the forum. As for her future plans, her goal is to help combat human trafficking. She is looking into internship possibilities right now. She is VERY interested in working for a safe house in the D.C. area that houses rescued victims aged 11-17, homeschools them, and provides counseling.

Thanks again to everyone!

Great big congrats to the both of you. I sure wish my daughter were that motivated. She's "afraid" of getting too many college credits. Ha! She thinks it's like trying to grow up to soon.

Your daughter has an interesting goal for a girl her age. Good luck on internships!

She started taking CLEPs in September and she just took the final for her last class yesterday. Now she just needs to apply for graduation. It's a good thing my second daughter just started earning college credit for high school or I wouldn't know what to do with myself. Smile

This is fantastic news!!! Tell your daughter I said WAY TO GO!!

Yes, I cried about it for a day or two but I'm over it now. She was just offered an internship with a ministry that helps combat human trafficking and her new boss asked the president of the Maryland Human Trafficking Taskforce is she could have a spot on the Taskforce. He approved the request and she will attend her first meeting in the U.S. Attorney's office on Wednesday. I guess I am going to have to let her grow up.

I went looking for this thread....because I just thought to myself, "wait a minute, when did Danielle's daughter finish her bachelor's degree- and why didn't she say so?" LOL you DID! I missed it!

Ahh, here it is! HOW did I miss it?? Aggghhh....well, I know how I missed it, I wasn't on here hardly at all in early June- that's back when my mom passed away.

Anyway, I'm so super impressed AND over the moon that she might be coming to Clinton for her Master's degree. What a grrrrreat accomplishment!!! Way to go Brianne!
