I didn't realize you need to submit drafts for BOTH competencies in order to add a class. I guess I should try to finish the class with the slower responder first. My final is unlocked for one and the other still I'm awaiting affirmation on all milestones and a response for questions I have. I'm really trying to avoid wasting time. Thanks!

If it's a Friday, IIRC you can sometimes get a class added if you say you'll be submitting the draft for your 2nd open class on Saturday. I'm not sure if they'll do that in the first week of the session, but it's worth a shot, IMO.

I can relate. I have a class where I had all the Milestones submitted, and the final completed on Tuesday.  The last milestone wasn't affirmed until last night, at which point I submitted the final. Hopefully he will be happy with the final!

In the other class, I had all the Milestones completed on Wednesday. Those were affirmed yesterday morning, but I have to discus the final with the professor due to computer compatibility issues and he isn't available until this afternoon. (He has been terrific and responsive though.)

But both yesterday and today there is literally NOTHING I can work on in any class.  I REALLY don't want to end up losing the weekend too!

Everyday eh? Hmm, it really depends, they're busy and if all students do so, it'll attribute to the backlog.  I would email them and if they don't get back to you, you can try a call - leave a VM if needed, be patient and wait for a response.

Do not be patient! You're paying for this. Some professors are wicked slow and do not follow the rules. Time is money. When professors don't affirm within 72 hours, it really slows students down. They can't submit their Final Assessment until the Milestones are affirmed so they can't add anymore classes. Yes, email every day. Some need a kick in the pants. Keep in mind that a session is 7.5 weeks long at UMPI and you cannot submit a Rough Draft after the 7th week. You can't add a class with 10 days left in the session. So keep on bugging them professors.

Classes are not added on weekends. All requests for additional classes have to be made by Friday at noon via the new email account. They have really cut back on adding classes because of the affirming Milestones thing. It's going to be renamed SnailsPace if they don't get a move on.

Their info should be on the syllabus. I think you can see it in the course on Strut. You can search their name on the UMPI website as well.

You should be able to use your student gmail account to send an email, and it should autocomplete when you type their name into the recipient address field.
