Charles Sturt University has long offered free short courses in tech-related subjects. These short courses run live the first time through and have webinars, chats, etc. I've taken about three of these and they are pretty good. There is an exam at the end and this generates a certificate. There appears to be a pathway to earn at least some credit via these short courses, but this might just be a couple of credits as a bit of bait to get students to enroll in CSU master's programs. Still, I like this program and I think that the short courses are worthwhile in and of themselves.
Very recently, the program has expanded. Roughly 40 of the live classes have now been offered in an on-demand basis. They still include quizzes and exams and offer completion certificates and whatever odd pathway to credit that was originally available.
