the TECEP for Liberal Arts Math looks like the simplest thing I've seen. it's 1 test, no coursework, and it's got stuff like fractions and metric system conversions in it, ie not algebra or calc
so i would try that

Just an FYI about the free "foundations" courses through the phoenix.sophia site: I took all 3(English, algebra and statistics) and found them all to be of good quality and helpful. They were all review for me but I think they would be very helpful to someone who wants/needs extra help in those subjects before taking a more advanced course. They all transferred to my ACE transcript fine. They all also transferred to TESU, but as remedial course having no credit.

It is on the Sophia / Excelsior Transfer agreement as meeting 3 credit in mathematics requirement (as of 2016): https://www.excelsior.edu/documents/4604...l+Arts.pdf
Does this course work for COSC or TESU?
For both those schools its no.
https://charteroak.sophia.org/#courses
https://tesu.sophia.org/#courses
And currently (Jan. 2019) at Excelsior it comes in as an elective credit.

Ah, it must have updated since the 2016 doc I found. However, from the same (Phoenix) link I posted above the free Foundations of Statistics still comes in to meet the mathematics requirements for Excelsior based on the link nosey561 just shared. For Free it would be worth trying.
The Foundations of Statistics is still a No for TESU or COSC. Is this still valid for Excelsior? On the page there is no credit listed.

Possibly, as the Sophia link is still showing it - it's an expensive gamble when there are other math credits available that are known to transfer to the Big3 at a much lower cost. Why spend $149 for something you know will only transfer to one school before you make a decision on what school you'll choose. TESU and COSC won't even give you elective credit for the 'Foundations of Statistics'; as they consider it remedial.

If you can get it for free then the only thing you have to waste is your time, vs money. Now if it later helps prepare you for a math you'll need (assuming you don't choose Excelsior) then your time was not wasted; as you'll have worked on preparing for a course. However, if math is not your strong suit then I would be very surprised you'd choose a statistics course route to obtain the required math credits for either COSC or TESU.
I honestly think your time would be better spend preparing/learning for free through Kahn for Algebra, and then moving onto ALEKS for a month at $20; as Algebra would work at all of the Big3 for 3 credits of math.

Use your time wisely and work on your required courses first, work on the hardest courses last. I agree with allvia, that's pretty much what I mentioned yesterday in the other thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid294393
