I find it interesting that a lot of those people deal with numbers. It's like they can figure things out, like ROI and whatnot. As opposed to those who go to the University of Chicago MAPH and MAPSS programs...

My boyfriends sister is doing NP. It is going to cost her over $100,000 for her training, school materials, etc and more. she already has her BSN. The average salary for my area is only 5k more than a regular nurse. The class is packed with over a hundred people in her cohort for a city of 300,000 people.

Supposing you want to enter the fields of "Instructional Media Design" or "Educational Administration and Supervision". They list the graduate's salary as averaging $52k salary after two years. Many states won't even let you become an administrator without having 5-6 years of teaching experience...I suspect the same with Instructional Media Design. Are there actually so many places where teachers with 5-6 years experience aren't already making $52k? How is that a "best" ROI?

I was wondering that too. From the title, it seems like a lot of different nursing degrees are lumped together. I suspect the impact of degrees leading to licensure as a nurse anesthetist or nurse midwife is somewhat mitigated by degrees in nursing leadership, nursing administration, nursing education, and the like that would return less ROI. There also is a trend to move NP training from a master’s degree to a DNP. The standard for nurse anesthesia, for instance, calls for training requiring the doctoral degree by 2025 and many programs have already made that switch (see below). Not sure if these would be included, but I looked at nursing a few years ago and saw many programs that trained people (with non-nursing bachelor’s degrees) as RNs and that led to a master’s degree. Those would also yield less ROI than a degree leading to APRN status.
