Walden Tempo - MS General Psychology vs I/O (General Practice)
#1
So, I've been on Walden's website and noticed they've changed the layout!  Looks nicer, well designed, I think it's great!
From looking at the links below, the courses where I added a * should be identical yet renamed, so 5 courses overlap?
Here are the links to the 2 programs and Limited-Time-Savings: https://www.waldenu.edu/financial-aid/li...me-savings

I'm going to apply, take advantage of the 50% off tuition for the life of the program & try to finish in 2 terms, but will settle for 3 if needed.
I've not chat with an academic advising member on their team yet as I'm not sure which one would benefit me more.
Does anyone know if they allow "program changes" from General Psychology to I/O or vs if you decide to change?

On a side note, their website doesn't show the MS Psychology degrees on the Tempo platform.  The strange thing is, I can find it by doing the search and got the links above.  Another thing is, their MBA Tempo programs also don't show up, but I can't find the Tempo for their MBA programs... they had two, Healthcare Management and Project Management.  Are they updating the programs or adding new ones?  Here's the link: https://www.waldenu.edu/why-walden/flexibility

Hi bjcheung77. Foundations of Graduate study actually has nothing much to do with psychology. They test your writing skills, cogency in presentation etc. Think of it more like an English Comp. & Library skills course. Of the two RSCH courses, one is more theoretical/philosophical. You get to learn about the philosophy underlying Quant., Qual., & Mixed Method approaches. The other course involves actual statistics. So, while the courses build off each other, they do not really overlap.

Thanks for the info, I am submitting my application and tomorrow and hope to make it for the November cutoff otherwise I'll settle for the December offering since they still have the deal going on for 50% off. I hope they don't stop the specials until I am done at least. How do you find the program so far? Good and plenty of writing I assume...

Oh good! Are you enrolling for the I/O Psych pathway? I just hope Walden offers some discount for international students like me. If not 50%, at least 10-15%? The program feels good; lots of writing, of course. I found it a bit challenging the initial few weeks. Now, I am more or less settled, and am enjoying it. I have 5 more weeks left in my first 3-month term, and I am getting close to completing 50% (24 credits).

From what I understand I was the first person who graduated from the tempo MS I/O program. If I can answer in question let me know. I did not have to take those courses that you have an * by. However, I think those classes are part of the foundation of any graduate-level psych degree.

I'm currently in Walden Ph.D. I/O program mainly due to the 50% tuition reduction.

I'm very curious as to what is happening with the Tempo MBA in Project Management. Walden is one of the 2 universities I'm looking at to do an MBA in Project Management. There's only 2 programs I have found which are CBE. This and Capella. I wish there was an alternative!
