I completed the MBA at HAU. The only class that required synchronous meeting was an elective in communications and it was very manageable. We met 4 times in total in the term.

From someone who has completed the UMASS Global MBA via the pilot program. I can share that based on the rumors they will be launching in the fall of 2026 with applications opening in the Summer. However, the set up will not be 6 month terms. They will be moving over to 8 week terms (at least for this program, it was not clear if they will be moving over to this format for other CBE programs). The cost will be $950 per 8 week term and instead of 12 courses it will now be 10 courses. So this will definitely become a great option for many.
When I went to the ceremony a couple of weekends ago I was talking with the staff and they confirmed a DBA was coming in 2027, but they wouldn't confirm if it was going to be a CBE format or not. But either way we will have another option coming down the pipeline. My only worry for that one will be price based on their other Doctorate level programs.

$950 for 8 weeks?! That's even better than UMPI. Is it mainly paper-based, testing, or a mix of both?

I recently finished the HAU MBA. There were a few classes with synchronous meetings but they were mostly optional and did not count for an attendance grade. The recordings were uploaded to Blackboard within a few hours. Most classes had zero synchronous meetings. The only exception was for the Capstone course. Expect to meet with the professor weekly to review project status.
There were some classes with group activities. I was in a group that scheduled a weekly check-in meeting and took good care to distribute the workload and maintain accountability. Your experience may vary.
A few additional notes were added
In This Thread on coursework loads and recommended scheduling.
I found the program challenging, fast-paced, but manageable even with a full-time job and children in the mix. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

This format was different than the pilot, so assuming the course work remains the same, it will be all papers and projects with a mix of spreadsheets, slide decks, and some voice over presentations. Nothing has been announced, but another person said they were told that each course would have about 15 milestones and 1 final. But I haven't been able to confirm that.
