Greetings everyone,
Just out of curiosity, has anyone completed an MBA via HAU or Walden? Has anyone been to both universities? What are the courses like? Seriously considering these 2 next (and yes, I've been to WGU, not a fan of their service).

Two schools the vast majority of employers have never heard of. I'd focus on differences in curricular content, delivery methodologies, and costs. There is no way to reliably recommend one over the other; it's a highly individual choice.
And, considering there are a zillion MBA programs, it seems a bit odd to be limited to these two?

I don't know if Walden is unknown to the vast majority of employers. Maybe a slim majority? I wouldn't be surprised if a majority know about them. Walden is so huge, applications from their alumni are going to be seen almost everywhere, except certain STEM and humanities fields because Walden doesn't offer those degrees. I believe most of their graduates are concentrated in nursing, education, and mental health. If an employer hasn't seen a Walden applicant, they might have seen a Walden Facebook ad or a news article about a Walden lawsuit.

Who said that I'm limited to just these 2? These are just 2 universities that we discuss about here on the forum due to their low cost primarily. I already have a boat load of degrees... more than I can possibly fit in my signature block or shake a stick at. Some of us do degrees simply for the fun of it. I don't care if an employer heard about one university or another since I'm already graduating with a DBA at TESU which has been pretty rigorous and has a decent alumni system here in NJ. I just feel like doing an MBA to do an MBA and to also make the whole business admin adventure come full circle; that also means I'm going back for another associates in business admin to check off all 4 corners.
What are your experiences with HAU and Walden? Aside from WGU, what is another MBA program that I can do for only a couple of Gs (roughly 5k or less)?

Thanks! Seems like they have synchronous Zoom classes a couple of time throughout the week -- that might now cross off HAU, but Walden is still on the menu.

Once the UMass Global CBE MBA is out of pilot, it might be in your price range. Something to keep an eye on. Their terms are 6 months.

I totally forgot about UMass! What is their price range looking like? When might we see them exit pilot?

The HAU program used to chatted about quite a bit on here. Several people did attend and complete their MBA. Most of those users are probably long gone though.

Only reason why it first came to mind. There's a couple of people that I can think of here who have participated in the program, but not many. Seeing that there are weekly synchronous events... I'll pass. It's not suitable for the average adult learner IMO
