Oh my, yes! It is so much duplication! An intro and conclusion on every module means you are repeating everything over and over again. It's not a typical APA paper but I guess breaking up each module allows the professor to make corrections and give guidance

Does anyone know where to find an example of Written Assignment 2- Literature Review? I (unfortunately- and before reading reviews) signed up for the Guided Study option and the E-book just isn't specific enough for me to comprehend with confidence.

Thank you.  The the only reference that I could find was in the APA which said double but it was very vague.  I appreciate your response.

If you're using Microsoft Word as your program, they have an APA 6th Edition template available for free.. it's pre-formatted with all relative spacing and indentation.

I'm not really sure about finding an example, but my paper was something like this...
Introduction (describing what I was researching). 
A summary of what I had learned up to that point. I broke out each of my sub-questions and detailed the research I had completed related to each question.
Then a reference page listing all the resources I had used up to that point. Except, that while it is formatted as a references page, under each source you need to include a good long paragraph describing what the source is and how it contributes to your research.

Boy am I struggling with Chapter 2 right now. And my mentor almost seems to be speaking an entirely different language than I am. (He's a JD with a Doctorate in Philosophy, and his responses to others in our class paint him as something of an odd cat).

So I've quickly realized that I'm largely on my own for this one.

Where do I actually write the paper, cover my primary and sub questions, and draw a conclusion? It looks like Chapters 4 and 5 covers the latter, but I'm having a hard time defining the differences between Chapter 2 and 3.

I don't know - I'm really struggling with the whole concept of a research paper (I'm 48 and haven't done anything like this in 25+ years), and I'm on the verge of a panic attack at this point.

I think most of us have had a breakdown during chapter 2! The answer is a little different for each type of capstone project. If you are conducting research it looks something like this:

Chapter 2 is a review of the existing research on your topic. Find a couple of primary sources and a couple of secondary sources that are in the same theme as your paper and report on what the findings were. Try to find something that is in the same vein as each of your sub-questions because you are going to have to refer back to the ch 2 findings and weigh it against your own findings in chapter 5.

Chapter 3 is a discussion of the methodologies you are going to use to conduct your own research. Are you going to conduct surveys, compare opposing views of scholars, observe a plant grow... This chapter lays out your plans for how you will gather information and how you will evaluate your findings. Your actual research is conducted between chapter 3 and chapter 4. In chapter 4 you report on your findings. In chapter 5 you compare your findings to the existing research in chapter 2 and discuss the results.

On the other hand, I'm now terrified. Because now that I understand the structure, I think I misunderstood the original purpose of the Capstone, and as a result, I posed a primary question that doesn't appear to have any solid research behind it.

From a psycho-physiological perspective, what is the difference between a habit and addiction?

There are numerous "regular" links as I search through Google, but basically nothing in Google Scholar. Am I going to have to go back and revise my primary question??

I would. The answer to that question is essentially based on the definition given the words. You need something that requires actual research to answer. Something like "Are habits sometimes as destructive as addictions?" or "Is cannabis use habitual or addictive?" Then one of your subquestions can be about the difference between habits and addictions.

Also, I found the databases on Moodle more useful than Google scholar.

This made me realize that, in my rush to reply, that I misquoted my own primary question...lol. Here is the full, correct question:

A Psycho-physiological Analysis of Cigarette Smoking – Habit or Addiction?

At least this aligns more closely with the last question you posted, but I still haven't been able to find much in the way of prior research on this specific question.

I'll dig into Moodle and see if that's a more practical option for me than Google Scholar. Thank you!

An answer for the major question was obtained by answering the following sub- questions:

Sub-Questions:
1. How are the terms 'habit' and 'addiction' individually defined and contrasted / compared?
2. What other dynamics play a role in making this determination, and can said dynamics be categorized separately?
3. What can this researcher's direct, professional experience contribute to the record?
