Yes, actually you all helped me realize UMPI would be a better option than Charter Oak. I had posted under that forum earlier:

"Looking to do get a simple/inexpensive degree for my own personal accomplishment. Would like to do it online and cheaply. No previous college experience.
From what I've read I can use Sophia and CLEP exams. COSC's website just says to Gen ED studies required, but which ones? Does it matter? Just looking for to put a plan in place."

So I started the Sophia classes 10/4 and this is what I have completed:

Visual Communications
Intro to Psychology
Intro to Ethics
Ancient Greek Phiosophers
Microeconimics
Macroeconimics
Intro to Sociology
Signed up for Study.Com Biology w/lab

Am I going in the right direction?

Many of us here try to get people started at Sophia ASAP because, like the Matrix quote, "He's beginning to believe," people start believing in themselves, and this dream of getting a college degree starts to become more real after you string together some successes.  (Sry for nerd quote all hehe. )

You're definitely going in the right direction.  Just keep putting 20hrs a week into your studies, and your degree will be done in 6-12 months!

I am doing the BLS with the management minor, which I think is the easiest to get with the most Sophia courses. I am attaching a list of courses that I transferred from Sophia. I hope it helps.
I definitely do not recommend you to take English composition I and II at Sophia, Unless you are great at writing.
You will also need American Government from Instantcert. Biology with lab from Study.com, and you can also do Spanish one with them since you get 2 courses in the deal for the price of one.
