Patten University MBA Review

dartheminence Wrote:I actually like the fact that they don't offer financial aid. I get to pay in cash and take unlimited credits. I love the pay as you go sort of template. Student loans freak me out and often student loans enable colleges to increase their costs of attendance.
I guess I'm poor then because I cannot afford $2,000 per 4 months or $6,000 per year. LOL. Looking at the tuition on a yearly basis all of a sudden doesn't make it seem that amazingly cheap. Capella's Flexpath MBA is $8,800 per year, and they accept financial aid. WGU is $6,500 with financial aid available.

I'm not rich either. I'm quite poor. However, when the government gets involved in the loan business, overall tuition increases regardless, then there's more money to pay back. For young folks like me, this keeps us accountable. We pay upfront and avoid debt. That's why I like it. It takes me a while to make the money, but it fills me with a sense of pride to know I earned my place. It also makes me work harder and faster. Since you can take unlimited credits, it's possible to finish in one semester if one really prioritizes it. If it's an MBA for 1996 in one term, then its a good deal lol.

They give a discount to VA people, I believe. Use the chat and verify this. When I started the application process, I was asked if I had any military service. I don't so I'm not sure what they offer.

That may be the case, but I don't think I have ever run into a school site that didn't at least mention how they are in the top list of military friendly schools, or VA approved, blah blah... Most even have a separate military section and department.
