One thing to remember is Patten is a for profit company unlike WGU. For profit can be frowned upon by some so it depends on what your goals are. If you are not going to a top 10 Business school than an MBA is an MBA to many employers with RA holding a better standing than NA. An MBA will make you qualify for a job you may not have, but the interview not your credentials will get you hired.
Here is some additional information about Patten that may help you:
Much of Patten's faculty was recruited out of WGU and they developed a very similar model. I am currently enrolled at Patten and you can either challenge a course or take a standard route. When you challenge a course 50% of your grade comes from your proctored final exam, and the other 50% comes from your project which can be ~20+ pages of work and research plus video presentations or slide presentation. When you fail to pass using the challenge method you can go back and take the standard route by completing the forum discussions, homework assignments, and papers. The breakdown becomes 40% final, 40% Project and 20% coursework.
Hope you find this helpful!
Please ask for clarification if you're not certain what I mean. It is RA accredited, I work full time, and I thrive in test out environments as well as writing environments. Due to the cost, which is the deciding factor for me, it IS much easier for me, personally. If I had gone to WGU, I would not be able to afford it, thus, causing me a financial burden.
Yes the final exam and project can either make or break you. If money is a concern, I strongly recommend Patten University.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

It says this on the financial aid portion of their website:
"Patten University has chosen not to participate in Federal and State Financial Aid programs, choosing instead to drastically reduce the price of attendance at our institution. This means that traditional Financial Aid is not available at Patten, and students must secure a way to pay tuition and fees other than the traditional grants and loans that result in significant debt for most college students today. Limited scholarships and some Work/Study positions are available to help students pay for their education at Patten. Information on these programs is available from the offices of Student Experience or Financial Aid."

It really does....it's kind of sad. There are still options (private student loans), but not nearly as appealing as Fed loans.

I actually like the fact that they don't offer financial aid. I get to pay in cash and take unlimited credits. I love the pay as you go sort of template. Student loans freak me out and often student loans enable colleges to increase their costs of attendance.
