I start in the Capstone in February and and trying to wrap my head around it before it starts.
Can someone share their class calendar? I have seen the syllabus but am curious about time lines.
Also topics? With a BALS can it really be anything?
Is the textbook a rental or do you have access to it once the class starts?
Thanks!

I'm in January term. I understand the nerves of wanting to know more ahead of time. I didn't know much until course access the Friday before term began. I was and still am in some ways nervous about capstone. I hesitate on sharing too many details as it may not apply to your mentor and term and some of it might cross ethical and academic policies. so less is more... sorry.
Textbook is digital rental. see the syllabus for vital source link to rent. It was offered for 6 month rental for about $25. Other readings are in the course once you start.
BALS topics are student selected and encouraged to be related to career goals. some ideas mentor shared were professional relationships in health care, impact of xyz treatment in special ed... think of it as finding something you personally are interested in about a future or current career goal.
Like with other tesu classes, I had access to the information about 2-3 days before course actually started and that was plenty of time to figure out the calendar and see the pattern for 6 modules over 12 weeks. They emailed on Friday before and said it's up. Once I saw the set up with this course and mentor, I felt like I can do this. I won't be one of those who finishes too far in advance though. But I plan to finish on time.
