I am taking the French CLEP in about an hour and I'm just ill over it. It is only made worse by the fact that, if I pass, I will graduate on Friday of this week. If not, I will have to pick up the class somewhere, or take the test again in six months.
I took French in high school and a French 1001 college course. I need a 50 to get credit for French 1002, which I have figured at about 75 correct answers, if I understand the grading system correctly.
I have been studying constantly for about 3 weeks which gradually built up after studying for the past few months. The official book was little help, being difficult for me when I first began studying and becoming easier partially of me doing it multiple times.
I'm just not certain exactly on what I should have focused, or if there is any good way to study for the test. It is an entire language, after all. I think that I have the basics down, and can read the language pretty well, but I'm not so sure about the listening. Hopefully the folks on the computer enunciate well enough, or I am lucky with my guesses.
I did read the forum here and it has given me a lot of help, so thanks to all the people who have posted about it.
