Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow right???

I hope all goes well for you this morning Dale,

Ed Psych and Intro to Psych go well together. I'm sure you will do fine. Let us know how it goes.

Best of luck,

That's outrageous!

They didn't even call you to tell you not to come in? What kind of an operation are they running? People get sick, and things come up. But they should have at least had the presence of mind to call you.

At the very least, they should proctor these two exams for you free of charge.

I'd call them and explain that you followed the scheduling protocol, you took time off work, you spent money on gas and parking, and you were primed and ready to take the exams today.

I'm sure they would charge you the proctoring fee if YOU didn't show up. So I think it is only fair that they don't charge you the proctoring fee when THEY don't show up.

Sorry your exam day got messed up Dale.

Let us know when you schedule a new day,

I found Humanties to go very quickly, both in study time (0), and test time (roughly 30 minutes). This is (IMO)one of those, either you'll well or you'll fail, and alot of studying probably won't help type exams. It's basically all trivia, and too broad of an area to study, so I didn't. OTOH the questions are fairly light, so it zips by.

I had similar experiences with test time, although I did study, with US History I and II and American Government.

Tests that took longer for me (but in no case longer than 50 minutes), include the math tests, and analyzing literature.

Oh my gosh! You didn't study for Humanities? That is my next scheduled test and I am feeling overwhelmed by the amount of material that I feel that I should memorize to feel comfortable going in. I guess I am an overstudier and not the just-go-with type of tester. Were you already familiar with literature and the arts?

I discovered InstantCert a month ago, and I have been able to take three tests using InstantCert alone and the CLEP practice tests.
Principles of Management (score 71), Information Systems (score 62), and Principles of Marketing (score 73) each took me five days to study for.
I found the best way to study using InstantCert was to divide the sections up into the days I wanted to study, and I took notes as I went through the flashcards. I would review the questions I had learned previously each day before learning the new section(s) for that day. On the last day before the test, I took the CLEP practice tests (I have two older editions of CLEP study guides - 1996 and 2004 which I got at Half.com) and did some research if there was any question I didn't understand.
It's worked pretty well for me so far!!

Tests (scores) in order that they were taken:

Trigonometry (67)
Spanish (68)
College Algebra (68)
Chemistry (42)
English Composition with Essay (530)
Freshman College Composition with Essay (66)
French (58)
College Mathematics (75)
Calculus (67)
Macroeconomics (71)
Microeconomics (75)
Management (71) - finished in 45 minutes
Information Systems (62) - finished in 1 hour
Marketing (73) - finished in 1 hour

Finally got back into the test center. Scored a 69 on Intro to Ed Psych with about 4 hours total of studying. Here's my approach. I have windows set to record my replys. I run through each set of flashcards in order. the first time I guess at a few but for the most part just hit the enter button and see the answer. I then type it in in the correct/wrong screen. Windows will hold the info. Then I keep running through the flashcards until I get 100%. I usually miss one or two over and over again. That actually helps to reinforce the rest of the cards. Eventually there is an ah huh moment where the answer kicks into my brain. The first time through takes some time but then the rest of the run throughs speed up significantly. I think it also helps during the test. I've never even come close to hitting the time limit on any of the test that I've taken.

Once the flashcards are running through at 100% I take the CLEP practice test. (I don't know what I'm going to do for the Dantes tests with their measly 10 sample questions...) At that point I Google any of the answers that I've missed. This helps two ways. One I get a better grasp of that concept but, two, I always see some questions on the test that are covered in what ever I dig up.

I notoriously over prepare. This was the first test that I took at full speed. I always feel that a test is going to come up soon that will destroy me... After 7 CLEP's I'm starting to get a little more confident though...
