Insurance Ethics to TESU in 2022
#1
I took the free insurance ethics course back in 2019. I even added it to the old ACE transcript and it was approved. I never sent my old ACE transcript to TESU. Back in 2019 I even e-mailed TESU and pre approved it into my degree plan where it is still there currently (as 2UL credits).

My question is how do I get this course to TESU in 2022?

You can't - there is no more ACE transcript, you have to switch to a Credly transcript, and add your courses to that.  The Insurance Ethics course will not issue a badge to put the credit on the Credly transcript.

Unfortunately, the only way forward for an ethics class would be something like Sophia or taking InstantCert's business ethics.

I'm wondering if I sent the transcript directly from the institutes to TESU would that work? Given that I already have the credit planned.

There are lots of options to get another ethics course:
Saylor's Environmental Ethics course will be the cheapest at $5
Sophia
Study.com
DSST
UExcel or TECEP (if you need RA credit)
SL
Davar
Coopersmith

I don't think so. They're going to be expecting it on an ACE (now Credly) transcript.

That wouldn't be an ACE transcript though. I doubt they will accept it. Is the course still active in ACE? Courses expire and they were not interested in creating a Credly badge which is needed now for ACE credits. There are several other ways to complete an ethics course now. 3 years is a long time to wait to send a transcript. So many changes have happened in the last 3 years. It's pretty crazy what has changed.

There is no way to do that - they won't send a transcript, and TESU won't accept the course that way.

BTW, why are we trying to transfer this to TESU?

Institutes went the way of the Kaplan PLA course, I don't think they'll be adding any badges into the Credly system.

You can email them and see if they will, if not, then the only option is to retake it from an inexpensive provider.

No reason really. Basically I just wanted to bank all my ACE credits. So it isn't too big of a deal that I'm out of luck at all. I just thought I'd ask here.

I had prior credits and was going to TESU. But my plans changed and I got my bachelors from a B&M college and used my prior CLEP, DSST, and CC credits to get it. But all my ACE credit went to waste. The good thing is most of my ACE credit was free or super cheap so not a huge loss.

I just wanted to all my ACE/NCCRS credit on a college transcript. And also have the possibly work towards a second degree at TESU someday. I am currently enrolled at TESU right now (took medical term tecep 10 months ago) but won't be in a couple months and I don't plan on taking a TECEP to stay enrolled. I can re enroll if I ever want to someday. So I just wanted send everything now to get it on a transcript while I'm still enrolled.

No big deal. It's not like the ethics course counted towards anything but free elective anyways.
