TESU max transfers from non 4 year credits?
#1
Question
Hello, I am considering TESU and have been doing research however, I can't find a concrete answer to transfers..

Lets say I have 60 credits from community college(regionally accredited ACCJC), and I have 45 credits ACE(study.com), Can I transfer in 105 towards a single bachelors at TESU? Or will I be capped at 90?

It doesn't clarify if credits from the 3 different sources are additive, specifically past 90.
Further more, what constitutes a 4 year? Is there a list of colleges they consider 4 year? Is there a difference between community RA and 4 year RA?

Heres what it says
1)maximum of 90 semester hours of community or junior college courses;
2)maximum of 90 semester hours for a baccalaureate degree from NCCRS and ACE recommendations;
3)If you studied at an accepted institutionally accredited four-year institution, you may fulfill all your degree requirements with transfer credit except the two required courses from TESU (SOS-1100+Capstone Course.)

Thank you to those who can clarify.

At least when I graduated, a couple years ago, the 90 credit limit applied to ACE/alt credits. I transferred in 114 credits, a mix of community college 4 year college, and ACE credits. So in your case, you can transfer your 60 community college credits and another 54 ACE or whatever credits.

You will, however, have to have at least 15 upper-level credits. And that's where the 2 year vs 4 year differential comes in. If the school issues a bachelor's degree, it is a 4 year institution. If it only issues certificates and associates degrees, it is a 2 year institution.

The institutional accreditors for all RA schools require a minimum number of upper level credits (i.e., credits you earn in the 3rd and 4th year of your traditional college path, usually designated as 300 and 400 level courses) for an accredited school to issue a bachelor's degree.

They are separate limits, so you can combine Community College and ACE to go all the way to 114 credits, leaving just the cornerstone and capstone. This presumes that all the credits you need are available from those two sources.
