Looking for some information on Instacert Spanish Course. Some like it and some don't. Others are going to Sophia. What are some good tips and tools to use to passing Exam 1, 2, and 3 for Instacert. I realized this why most people don't well on the platform.

Sophia launched their Spanish 1 today. I reviewed the course and it appears to be a lot more involved than the Instacert course. It’s like 5 touchstones with 2 orals…

That's far more work than the UMPI Spanish 1 class. At UMPI it's a few Milestones, a 500 word essay, and answering a few questions in Spanish. You're given all of the questions in advance so you can work on it and submit it whenever you're ready.

Would you say the Instacert or Umpi would be “faster”? I’ve seen a few comments about the Umpi instructor potentially being a bit difficult to work with?

I just did Instacert(disclaimer) and study. Com, but for the comments that usually appear in the forum the order will be: UMPI - Instacert - Sophia.
This is based in time/work perceived. Remember is a language and different people need different time.
BUT in UMPI you can be in a race against time and usually want to transfer in as much as possible.
But if you want to do less terms at UMPI or have to do more than 10 subjects there , and for the price, do Instacert, be ready with it. Give yourself a head start in time to dedicate to other subjects. Really comes down to how many time and subjects you have to do at UMPI in my opinion.

One thing with Sophia is the time to grade the touchstones.
If it's one week per touchstone like the English Comp II, it will take 5 weeks to get through the course unless they let you move on to the next section before the touchstone is graded.
Some of the touchstones say "You can submit this touchstone when the previous touchstone has been scored."

The touchstones will definitely take longer because they have to grade it but the course itself is so easy. I just finished the all the challenges and milestones in less than three hours (with breaks). I could not do IC or Study.com so anybody who struggles with foreign language this is definitely an easier route. Like I said the only con is the touchstone being graded 5-7 days but the touchstones I have already completed just waiting to be able to submit. This may be a way for them to keep you subscribed

That doesn't sound too bad if they let you move on to the next unit before the touchstone from the previous unit is scored.
I know quite a bit of Spanish from doing all of Duolingo and reading some books as well.
I got through the 1st challenge in 10 min, so I could see how one could get through fast if you already know the material.
The Sophia flashcard feature is sweet!

After playing around, I just noticed you can submit all the written milestones at once. So it may just take 2 weeks instead of 3-4 weeks that I originally thought.

For Sophia.org, I would recommend not trying to "rush" through the Spanish I course, you can have a second course you can "rush" through if you wanted. Or if you accidentally chose two that have touchstones, you may ask for a third if the touchstones are the only things left for grading. In any case, go at your pace (a comfy one), don't try to rush...
