Great! No worries, just keep pluggingalong at those required credits to complete the degree of your choice. It's good you're still moving and not being "stagnant". Here's a small example of people on this board who have gone the BALS or BLS equivalent and gone to a specific Masters or something similar. It may be what you're looking to do as well..

Are there a preferred technical skills in the BALS MIS degree? For example, what computer languages and software packages would be good to know?

I have no MIS technical skills such as programming. I had to use VB and Access in the MIS minor. This may be changing with the move to Brightspace as they are making a lot of changes to classes with the move.

You'll use Word, Excel, PowerPoint for all of your classes - not necessarily in each class. You don't need anything outside of MS Office. You can get it for free through UMPI.

I restart in mid January, and have an English (ENG101) and Business (BUS141) class. My transfers were about 45 credits. I'm going to take my first classes through the UMPI Yourpace system, before I try to get credit from other sources. Mostly to familiarize myself with the official way of doing things. I've read there are some problematic courses that people prefer to take from study.com, so I will be on the lookout for those. I imagine the first few classes should not be too difficult.

I'm coming in a bit late, but seems like you're putting the cart before the horse. You started and stopped and now returned to UMPI but not without at least 90 credits to transfer (which is probably fine). Why not knock out some additional LL classes with Sophia before starting UMPI?

I would rather take the classes at UMPI.

It takes a few weeks to evaluate the transcripts. Once they're completed, you will get an evaluation in the mail. It's an envelope filled with orange paper. Can't miss it! You'll also be able to see your transfer credits in your MaineStreet account.

Your academic advisor will email you a degree evaluation PDF. It shows what is needed for your degree, what you have transferred in, and what you have left. That might be the highlighted PDF you're talking about. All of these documents have names on them. Smile

Have you been in contact with your academic advisor? It's not too late to enroll in classes. You can enroll right up to the last minute. Once you're a student, you'll add classes throughout the session as well.

They sent me an e-mail saying my audit was complete but all that was attache was a Degree Progress Report, the same thing that was already in my dashboard.  So you are saying, they hold my Yellow Highlighted PDF hostage until I fill out forms and pay?  What if I want to join the August 23 session instead of July 3.  Are they going to hold that PDF even longer now, and only send it to me 7 days before the Fall Session?

I'm not sure what you're talking about as this thread is a few years old. The yellow highlighted PDF you're referring to is the degree evaluation form completed by your academic advisor when you are ready to register for classes. It's normal to get it close to the beginning of the session as you don't register for classes months in advance usually. You can always email your academic advisor and ask for it. If you're not starting next week, then you're not a priority. The students starting next week or continuing next week are the priority not someone starting in 8 weeks. Patience is key with UMPI. It's a VERY small school with only a handful of employees. Some employees work at UMPI and UMFK so they're part time on each campus.

What does this mean?  If you start a class near the end of a session, you FAIL?  What if you misjudge how long a class will take you, and you are a few days late (into the next session)?

I'm not the expert in this forum, but from what I have read collectively, they won't let you join if it's too close to the end of the term; and if you are already in a class that is taking a little longer to complete, you can ask for an extension of that class.
