How to transfer credits using ACE?
#1
Hi all,

While I'm waiting for my transcript evail, I completed my Ethics requirement with The Institutes. I *think* I remember reading that I needed to create an account for ACE to have my transcripts from Saylor, Study, The Institutes, CLEP sent? Is this correct? How does the transfer process work from theses learning groups? Should I wait until I've completed all my required courses before sending them to TESU? Thank you for educating me. Wink

If you haven't yet had all of your Saylor, Study, etc courses put on your ACE transcript, I'd do that asap - it takes only 2 or 3 minutes to set up your ACE Account - https://www2.acenet.edu/credit/?fuseacti...ripts.main

Once you have your account, log in and near the top left you will see "Course Search" - you need to look up each course you took and enter the completion date. ACE will get confirmation from the entity and then place that course on your transcript. It takes from a few hours to a few days for the courses to be confirmed. From there you can request the transcript to be sent to your institution just like you request a college transcript.

The first time you send your transcript it cost $20 and then $15 everyone after that. So if you want to save $15 wait till you have all your ACE stuff then send it in. I am going to do two different ones from ACE just to make sure everything I have taken at the time is going to map where I want it to be and everything is accepted. Totally up to you how you want to send them in. I believe CLEP has to be sent from CLEP also.

CLEP and DSST get sent directly from them to the school, they don't go on an ACE transcript....CLEP and DSST will hold your scores for 20 years.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

They do. If you're already accepted at the time you take your test, you can specify that TESU be sent a free report of that score when you finish your CLEP or DSST.
