How to Completely Test Out of TESC Degrees

Where on the evaluation does TESC place the Organizational Behavior DSST?
Would it go under Free Electives or Area of Study?

Also, what is the difference between Group 1 and Group 2 under Psychology Electives?

I too am trying to figure out the group 1 and group 2 if anyone can weigh in? Is it upper and lower level?

The groupings just help their computer prioritize credits. For the Psych degree it will automatically fill itself in as long as you take 18SH of upper level courses. You should see the first group is enough to reach the 18SH needed (if the section above was all upper level) and the rest is to fill in the gap. If your credits from the section above weren't all upper level then you should have upper level credits overflowing into group two as a means to reach 18SH.

The easy answer is that once you take 18SH of upper level credits somewhere in your area of study the rest will fill in with your lower level credits.

In some of the other degrees (like mine in COMM) they have more groups to help in the limitation of course types (my degree has a cap of 6SH of journalism courses and creates a group three for that).

Organizational Behavior is an UL psych course for the psychology and social science programs. It's an UL management course for the business program. If any of those are your major, then it will go in the area of study unless it's pushed out by something else. If you're not majoring in a subject that requires psychology or management courses, then Organizational Behavior can be used as a general education social science or a free elective.

I know this thread is a few years old, can someone guide me through with the new requirements in place at TESU since July 1 2015 on how I can completely test out? if not completely - how i can MOSTLY test out? I am interested in BSBA. how to get started? do I register with TESU first or start testing out?

It's all going to boil down to personal preference how you would like to begin and how you would like to proceed. Since you've lurked on this board for a while, I won't bore you with excessive writing. There's basically two options, if you prefer to go to a testing location, CLEP or DSST will work. If you are far from one like me, I chose the cheapest / easiest courses that will transfer.

Since you are going for the BSBA, you can review the wikia webpage for Sanantone's BSBA list of course options by test/course transfer. I also have a beginners guide on the wikia and in this forum, you may want to check them out... I have a couple of spreadsheets, you can review it for BSBA CIS and BSBA General Management.

Unless the Cornerstone can be tested out you'll be stuck taking the cornerstone for 300 dollars but the rest should be possible from TECEP, CLEP,DSST, and a mix of other credit sources.

It can't be transferred in, but the cornerstone itself is essentially an expensive test-out class.

Good point. It is still cheaper then if they required a full 3 credit class to be admitted or enrolled in a program.
