Hello!
Not sure if anyone has run into the same issues I have at TESU. I have been trying to start my BA in Art since March of 2022 and it's so frustrating! I feel like i'm on an island when it comes to mapping out my courses to complete my degree! I knew it would be a little more difficult with my area of study, but i did not think it would be this hard!
I have 2 upper level courses in art to complete in order to satisfy my AOS electives. I had to switch advisors because the first one was completely no help. He couldn't even point me in the right direction or any direction for that matter. He basically said I would have to figure out how to complete those courses on my own. The second advisor was a little more helpful and at least pointed me in the right direction.
I found ART 301 at Coopersmith that TESU approved, but still need to find 1 more. I found a UL class at Temple U that I can possibly PLA. I sent the course description and link to my advisor and she stated she needs a syllabus. I cannot find a syllabus for this course.
Any help with how to go about finding a course syllabus or suggestion on how you searched/found courses to PLA would be greatly appreciated.
I'm eager to start, but feel I need to nail down this class beforehand.
Thanks

Yes, they were unable to help me since I wasn't a student/enrolled in the class.

Have you tried looking at an old class schedule, identifying the professor(s) teaching the class, and emailing the professors directly? The professor may be inclined to help you since very often professors are interested in helping students learn, and many are not particularly interested in their school's bureaucratic rules.
Alternatively, you might look at one of those shady sites like CourseHero and see if someone's uploaded a syllabus for that class.

@OP, the most important information is missing... It's like asking people, can you get me a book from the library, but not telling us the name of the book or the author, nothing about the book! So, what is the name of the UL course at Temple U you're looking to do the PLA for?

What did you ask them? I'd be like "Hi, I want to enroll as a student, but I'm not sure if this is the right art course for me or if I should take a different one. Where can I find the syllabus to decide?"

You can use TESU's PLA database: https://www2.tesu.edu/plasearch.php
Search for "art-3" and "art-4" to only get upper-level listings with the ART course code.

@OP, I would follow RachelAZ83's suggestion in emailing them again, with a very similar question. Another option is to find a community college either in the US/UK that has a similar course and review their info. You need to PLA and document your knowledge on the content/info presented. You can also showcase what you've done as well. Here's a quick example: https://www.southstaffs.ac.uk/courses/fa...-printing/
