How long did it take you to receive your Composition CLEP score?

Is there any chance of getting it before the 3 weeks mark? I took it last Tuesday, and will be flying out of state next Friday the 2nd. Didn't know if there was ANY chance I'd know my score before I leave.

I got mine exactly a month after, this was back in 2012.

There is a schedule that CLEP Services sticks to. Yesterday, 4/24, was the most recent cut-off date, so your essay has probably been assigned to a reader for scoring. The published mail date for this batch of essays is no later than 5/8 (coming from NJ). I have had some testers report that their scores were actually received on this "mail date" (we are in CA), but I have no idea if that is the norm or if the mail date might depend on how many essays there are in the system to be scored.

As BGSU_Alum_86 points out, they stick to a schedule so that will affect when you receive your score. I received mine in about 3 weeks. I hadn't finished either of the writing prompts, so I was scared. It was my worst CLEP score, a 52, but I did pass.

To anyone contemplating this test, I highly recommend practicing with some writing prompts. Do a Google search for "SAT writing prompts" (or GRE or GMAT), and then set a timer and answer one of the writing prompts (repeat each day until you feel comfortable). I write fairly well, but I found it difficult to write well and quickly at the same time.

Those who take the exam just after the cut-off point will have a much longer wait than those who take the exam on the next cut-off date (or days before). For those who are impatient and plan to take the College Composition exam in the future, find the scoring date chart and plan to take the exam just before a cut-off date.
