Thought Analyzing Lit was easy. Found out at last minute that I needed a lit, so I took this one on the advice of posters here....Good Advice! Not much to study for on this test if you wanted to, but if do just learn basic literary terms (alliteration, metaphor, etc.) and basic poetry forms, (sonnet, blank verse, epic), and if you can read this post and determine if the author of the post thinks the lit test was:
A. pretty easy
B. required lots of study
C. had a scary bear in it
D. was unfair
...then you will do pretty well.
Am govt: studied instacert and a SparkChart and cruised through it. Know the Bill of Rights, Federalism, the supremcy clause and tension between it and the bill of rights. If you have basic literacy in politics (can you name a Supreme Court Justice? ok besides Clarence Thomas?) you can get past this with a quick review of Instacert. If you never pay attention to politics study Instacert a lot and you should still be fine, maybe get the Cliff Notes book on American Govt.
While I was taking the computer test I thought it was hard, I wasn't sure I was going to pass, I thought about not reporting my score, but I'm glad I did a made a 70 passing easily. I just used Instacert for computers and nothing else.
Got one last test to take, Dantes Public Speaking; any advice anyone?

Congratulations on taking AND passing THREE exams all at once - that truly is a remarkable feat unto itself and you should be quite proud of yourself!!!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and insights with those who will be facing these exams too, perhaps just one at a time, but we can't all be as brave as you -
Great Job once again!!!

Hi Ramsman,
Welcome to the board.
On two previous occasions, I have taken three exams in one day. It makes for a LONG day, but it is a WONDERFUL feeling when you pass them all, isn't it!
hilarious
Congratulations on all your passes. Of course, I wouldn't recommend that you do all your exams in this fashion, but there are definitely certain 'clusters' of exams that work very well together and can be studied for and taken at the same time (or at least within a few days of each other).
As an aside, for those who prefer to take one exam at a time I would say that you should complete your degree in whatever manner and with whatever timing works best for YOU. 'Slow and steady' works perfectly for some, while 'blitzkrieg' works better for others. There is no right or wrong way to travel on this journey. If you can pass three exams in one day, that's great! If you can pass one exam per week, that's wonderful! If you take one exam per month, that's awesome! Whatever it takes for YOU to get your degree will be the 'right' way for YOU.
It's great to have you here Ramsman,

I concur as there is no "one way" only options in getting to your final destination point and that is your degree. For me, I like a sure thing going in so I took exams every three weeks.
Slow and steady wins the race -

Congrats! I also enjoyed the humor!
I will be taking American Gov with US History II on August 1st, so it's good to know more about the AG test.
As far as the DANTES Public Speaking test, I remember reading a post on this board about issues with the recording. I couldnt find that post, but searched and found this thread on the test in general.
Sounds like you're finishing a degree that you started earlier by testing out of your last few credits. We love to hear success stories...share a little if you are comfortable.
Best Wishes
