I got halfway through the Personal Finance course this weekend and I started on Statistics. I started it on ALEKS but figured Study.com would be a better place to go for it.
This month: Personal Finance(BUE101) and Principles of statistics (STA201)
Next month: Intro to religion (REL277) and Into to Natural sciences(PHYS104)
Last month: Calculus I(6 credits! MAT231) and Intro to Sociology(SOC101)
I'm wondering if this version of calculus can count for my Cal I and II requirements. I'm hoping so!
I'm doing a little Aleks every day as well. I'm really surprised at how much I remember from school. So but I should be ready to tackle Calculus by my last month of the subscription. I have about 5-8 hours a day to study - depending on how distracted I am and if I have the kids or not. I try to study for a 45 minutes to an hour at time, then do something random for 30 so minutes, then get back to it. I'm not the best at focusing, but my frequent breaks seem to make it a bit easier. Maybe not as efficient, but I don't know.

I've wasted two of my exam attempts this month, by... ahem, rushing through, but will be sure to take good advantage next month. I do feel a little about this, but there's no use crying over spilled milk I suppose.
Quote: Also, how long does it normally take to get Study courses approved? My finance course has been in "pending approval" on ACE for a week now.
They approve courses only on weekdays. I've finished Personal Finance on a Sunday last month, and was approved by Wednesday.
ALEKS: Beginning Algebra (1/17), Intermediate Algebra (1/17), Trigonometry (2/17). (9 crs)
ACTFL: Oral Proficiency (2/17). (9 crs)
The Institutes: Ethics (1/17). (2 crs)
NFA: Supervision (1/17), Community Safety (1/17). (2 crs)
Sophia: Developing Effective Teams (2/17), Essentials of Managing Conflict (4/18). (2 crs)
Study.com: Personal Finance (2/17), Human Growth and Development (2/17). (6 crs)
TEEX: Everyone (1/17), Business (1/17), IT (1/17). (6 crs)
36 ACE credits total.

I would contact study.com and ask them about the situation. I think they could either put the scholarship on hold or give you advice on taking the proctored exams at the hospital. I'm thinking it wouldn't be an issue. You could explain the situation to the proctor as they start the video. You just won't be able to carry on a conversation or get up and leave while you are taking the exam. Maybe let the head nurse know what you are doing first and they won't bug you during that time. You get two hours but I never spent more than 30 minutes on an exam. I'm sure they can leave you alone for 30 minutes.

BingCherry - I went back and looked for the post I was thinking about and it is from December. Someone was asking about the Classroom Mgmt - EDU courses at study.com
No one had tried to transfer them in but the general guess was that since they don't show up as socsci, humanities etc. while UL, would not count for the BALS AOS but would come in as free electives. I'm not sure if someone has checked on it since then. It was just a guess. I know I just avoided them so as not to waste an exam. I knew for sure the other courses would come in UL so that is what I stuck with. But it is possible that changed and someone has gotten confirmation since December.

I'm still in school for my AAS, so I'm only on a slow-but-steady course as far as ACE-type classes. And I was hoping it would take slightly longer to get approved for the Guardian scholarship, because it just came through earlier this week and I have three final exams (for traditional classes) due in the next week! That makes the timing a little awkward.
With that in mind, the plan is to knock out Personal Finance ASAP (which I'm stressing over; I HATE this class), and then (probably after finishing my other finals) try to tackle American Government before the first month is up.
Then I can work through two (or more) at a time, since I won't get in trouble for "exploring" the site. Probably Public Speaking & Intro to World Religions next.
Then Intro to Computers & either Humanities or Intro to Sociology in month three.
I need at least an extra month's worth of classes with them, so I have a little wiggle room on which ones I take when.
Someone mentioned doing the Public Speaking exam right after Personal Finance. (I can't see that page of the thread right now to see who that was.) How does that work? Don't you have to record speeches as assignments first? Did you do that in just a couple of days?

I mentioned doing either Principles of Finance or Public Speaking after Personal Finance. Now that you mention it, maybe study.com won't allow me to start looking at the Public Speaking stuff until after the first course is completely done including exam? I have difficulty with my testing location so I really want to do 2 exams at once whenever I can (and maybe 3). It sucks if I have to do Personal Finance by itself.
In regards to the speeches, I believe you can upload those after the exam. My plan was to do those in the few days before the exam.

If you have the Guardian scholarship, they don't like you to even look at other courses until after you've taken the final for Personal Finance. After that I believe you can work on as many as you want at a time; you just can only take 2 finals/month.

They don't like it, or they won't allow it? LOL.
I'll try to do Personal Finance + a Saylor back to back then. Then I'll have to rush and do Public Speaking + another Saylor before my first month of study.com is over. It will be good for me to be forced to do 4 this quickly.

I'm too new to say for sure. They say they may cancel your account over it, but I don't know how aggressive they are about that if you're doing okay in the finance course. I've heard folks here say they sent nastygrams to people who were poking around, but I don't know if anyone has actually been canceled.
