Hello All,
I am looking for some mnemonics to remember all the BIO biggies. I already have King Phillip Comes Over For Good Sex (or Sushi). Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Family, Species.
But how about for how to remember what pairs up with what in the genes (for example in DNA) Adenine pairs to Thymine....Cytosine pairs with Guanine, etc. Any other good ways to remember all this information. It's a mother load!
Please private message me in case I can't find this thread again.
Thanks,
Tara

Some times you just need to make up your own mnemonics. I don't know of any for DNA and some of these terms you just need to know. You might see a question about Guanine somewhere without a reference to DNA you need to be able to connect it. The basic terms and functions are important parts of everything that comes later in bio.

Well I would upload the file that I think is being referenced here, but the forum won't let me. So PM your email and I will send it that way.
Sorry I need to take a moment and ask the forum admins why are you still running the defaults that vbulletin set back in 1.x? 19.5KB for a pdf upload wont allow anything.
My forum of only 27,000+ people with almost 1M posts, has at least 1MB for most extensions and jpg's and the like have 10MB.
If your worried about space, just switch to the host I use, I have my own physical servers with 2x250GB drives all for only $59 a month plus a few extra bucks for a block of IP's.
Wheww.. get into 2013 where disks are cheap.
DSST- General Anthropology - 52, Intro to Computer - 469, Technical Writing - 54, DSST Ethics in America - 59 (1996),
CLEP- Sociology -54, College Math - 550(1996), CLEP Principles of Management - 60 (1996)

Thanks Linda,
Yeah, I HAD to pass this 6 credit CLEP bio test because the program I am in (RN to BSN/MSN) at TESC, you are not allowed to take your last 2 classes until all your required classes were done. This was one of the Science and Math Classes I needed. Now I just the Math and I can take my last 2 classes at TESC. Catch is, that program makes you take each of your last 2 classes separately.
It's getting close now!
Thanks so much for your reply!
