Help with planning BLS degree

It should show you what you are missing, the bulk of people who complete the BLS have 24 UL electives to take outside of the minor.  These can be something else, such as a different minor, or you can take classes that you have interest in, or even take the 3-4 classes that can go towards the UMPI MAOL.
Yes, I am enrolled at UMPI and beginning my first term January 13, 2024. Jennifer accepted 69 of my transfer units. I have not received anything to tell me what I am missing, although I have asked in emails on several occasions.

That's weird, you should have received an evaluation, and I always ask people to post theirs so we know what courses have been completed and what is missing, it should also indicate the remaining classes/credits you need for the degree. Without that, it's hard to tell you what to take, you should have more than 69 credits transferred, I would work on whatever else is missing and follow the WIKI degree plans to the T. Thanks BJ. I posted the template on page 1, then copied my classes again a few posts back to make it easier to evaluate since I'm still unclear. I looked again on my UMPI classical student portal under Undergraduate Advisement and printed out a .pdf. It lists my accepted transfers and says I need 21 out of the 24 credits needed for my EDU minor (3 units were completed) but it doesn't list any remaining GEC or elective credits I need to fill in the gap. Apparently I was short of the ENG 121 class (Eng Comp 2). I visited the UMPI your pace discord to see if I can figure it out. Jessica assigned me 3 upcoming classes for the Spring term (one is an orientation). I had already told her what GEC classes I was taking at Sophia.org so perhaps that is the reason. Thanks again.

"To clarify: I have received credits (converted to appropriately named UMPI courses) for:
Lifespan Development
Intro to Ethics
Intro to Literature
College Composition
Juvenile Justice & Delinquency
General Elective (Public Speaking)
Intro to Film
Gen. Elective (Career Field Studies)
Art Elective (Art of the Ancient Americas)
Intro to Anthropology
Anthropology Elective (Physical Anthro)
Intro to Criminal Justice
Sociology of the Family
American Government
United States History I
8 (Eight) .50 credits Criminal Justice electives (from certification)
5 (Five) Criminal Justice electives
Grand total of accepted credits=69"

Sophia classes in development:
Human Bio
Human Bio Lab
Intro to College Math
Spanish I
Art History I
Environmental Science

You need to login to MaineStreet and see what courses you have completed and what is remaining. You should know what 69 credits transferred and where they were applied. You won't receive anything at this point. It's still over a month until the term begins. You probably won't hear from your academic advisor until early January. You can email them and register for courses though.

Thanks for the info. According to Maine Street, apparently Jessica already chose my first 3 classes for enrollment a couple of weeks ago (one is an orientation), which I'm fine with. But I don't have an evaluation to see what I still need. I already listed the classes (above) that transferred.

I'm not sure why I have Eng 121, as I received transfer credits for prior Eng 101, Eng Comp I and Eng 151, Intro to Lit. I even got transfer credits for CRJ1, Effective Written Communication/Public Service Personnel. Doesn't at least two of these courses fulfill the GEC

No, ENG 121 is English Composition II. None of those are equivalents. From Sophia your choices are English Comp II or Workplace Writing II.

Thanks for documenting your process. I was also accepted back in November and still have not received an evaluation. She reached out to tell me 2 days before Jan. 5th that I had until Jan 5th to accept an award package which of course I didn't do because I'd like to know my standing first to then know how many terms to expect and pay for. 7 days to go and still in the dark.

Guess I'll just follow your journey and wait until next Spring start date.

You can look at your MaineStreet account and see what transferred in and what courses you have remaining. You can also email your academic advisor asking for info. Don't wait for them to contact you at the last minute.
