You might want to see if there are any other minors you can get that might interest you. Some students have been able to get multiple minors with creative transfers from Study.com and just one or two additional UMPI classes.

Thanks, Rachel. I will consult with Jessica when she returns to UMPI on November 20. One more quick question. I do not have any math, although I plan to take algebra from Sophia. Do I also need statistics to meet the GEC for a BLS/Education Studies? I have to admit my fear of math has kept me from completing my degree decades ago!

May I have the wiki link to compare all sophia.org classes broken down by challenges, touchstones, milestones etc. TIA!

That's right, review the degree requirements, create a spreadsheet that is viewable (not editable) and link us to your google/one drive, we can comment on the requirements. Hi everyone! Since my last post here as Lady_Gumshoe, I've completed Human Bio with an A, and almost done with their Human Bio lab. I plan to complete Intro to College Math, Environmental Sci, Art History I and Spanish 1 at Sophia too before UMPI's term begins on Jan 16, 2024. Have I overlooked any Sophia classes I still need? I'm enrolled at UMPI and my classes have been selected. This board has been fabulously helpful!

It’s there on Sophia. If you selected a specific college upon sign up, scroll to the bottom and check under Other Courses.

Quick question, in addition to the 21 credits of mandatory EDU courses for my UMPI minor, I will still need to take 24 credits of UL electives on top of what I already have? Thank you.

8 (Eight) .50 credits Criminal Justice electives (from certification)
5 (Five) Criminal Justice electives
Grand total of accepted credits=69

Did you apply to UMPI yet? Do you have an evaluation from Jessica/UMPI? It should show you what you are missing, the bulk of people who complete the BLS have 24 UL electives to take outside of the minor. These can be something else, such as a different minor, or you can take classes that you have interest in, or even take the 3-4 classes that can go towards the UMPI MAOL.
