brain122 Wrote:Can some of those who have take the UEXCEL exams that were being discussed on one of the other forums post feeback for what to expect?
Those listed were physics, precalc, and two others.
I am wondering what's used to prepare for these, what's the passing score and how did you do? Also what to expect from the test. I'm sure they are timed, how many minutes and how many questions?
Thanks,
The scores are not going to be determined until the end of the testing period 1/31/09. The results are due out the end of March 2009. As far as I can tell they are using the beta testing results to create the cut scores. So at this time no one knows what is passing and what is not passing. Nor do we know what we scored as they will not release that information until the end of March.
In regards to study material.
For
Political Science I used the content outline on the Uexcel website and searched the information on it in Wikipedia. Additionally, I took both versions of the political science exam as they are testing 2 versions of the exam.
In regards to the time allowed, I cut and pasted the below information from the Uexcel content guide for Poli Sci :
Examination Length and Scoring
The examination consists of approximately 120 four option
multiple-choice questions, some of which are
unscored, pretest questions. The pretest questions
are embedded throughout the exam, and they are
indistinguishable from the scored questions. It is to your
advantage to do your best on all of the questions. You will
have two (2) hours to complete the examination. Your
score will be reported as a letter grade.
