I wanted to wait till my degree was conferred to make this post, I actually finished my BA in History & Political Science Cum Laude back in February. Initially I started with a BABA in Management and Leadership, I wasn't enjoying the curriculum so I switched. It set me back a few weeks because I had already completed several classes toward the BABA and there were extra classes I hadn't accounted for that were required to complete the Poly Sci. BA such as Spanish 2. Regardless, the important thing is I've finished and now Im a college graduate!
Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone along the way on the path to my first degree! I originally found this site back in 2014 or 15, I lurked for quite awhile, always planning but never following through. Analysis paralysis I guess. Originally I meant to go to TESU when it was much cheaper, then COSC became the forum golden child. Later I was high on WGU (still am!). But I finally decided on UMPI after reading about all the success stories. Just over a year ago I took the plunge with UMPI, it was an awesome experience, and I can't thank the members of this forum enough for helping me so much throughout this journey!! I'd personally like to thank these forum members who either directly or indirectly helped me along the way:
CookDerosa
BJCheung
Sanantone
Ashkir
ss20ts
Burbuja0512(Bubbles)
Rowan555
Natshar
dfrecore
alluvia
Merlin
Jennr2z
acethroughcollege
Jsd
quigongene
Rachel83az
...and all the others out there who helped me. Thank you all for everything you bring to this forum! I don't think you regulars realize how much of a difference you make, even if you feel like you're answering the same question that's been asked for the thousandth time!
I would also like to thank Jessica, Cody, and Professor Zaborney at UMPI. All three were amazing!
Now I must decide whether to get a second, more marketable Bachelors degree (thinking BS Software Engineering/WGU) or pursue a masters (MBA/MSML).
Anyone know how soon I'll get the Parchment email to order my diploma for UMPI?

Congratulations! I finished my last class yesterday. My term ends May 5th. What was your turn around time to actually having a conferred degree after the term finished?

Congrats on getting it done! Yeah, WGU is a great option for the price. UMPI for undergrad, WGU for grad... You can get the MSML or the MBA, it has ACBSP as well...

Hey Josh, congratulations on finishing! It was exactly six weeks to the day that the session ended. My session ended March 10th, my degree conferred yesterday.

Thank you BJ! You helped out a lot, I (and I’m sure a lot of others on this forum) appreciate it! Yes, If I pursue the masters in definitely going with WGU. Like I told Mohelena, Amberton was considered, but you can’t beat WGU’s price or speed.

Very good work, and any chance you'd like to share thoughts on specific courses in the UMPI course thread? Curious about the History/Polisci program, since I'll be following in your footsteps soon.

Thank you! When I get some spare time I'll contribute to that thread. There wasn't a ton of info on each individual course going into it so I think it would help future students out a lot. Keep in mind I did the Political Science concentration, which is faster. The History concentration has more courses with powerpoint projects and presentations for the finals. But either route you take, you can't go wrong. History/Poly Sci. are subjects I'm already interested in so it didn't really feel like I was doing school work most of the time! Also the course list that Jessica sent me at the beginning of the first session wasn't entirely accurate. Most of it was, but there were some courses that had essays listed as the final when in reality it was a powerpoint. No biggie, just needs to be updated is all.
