Frustrated, burnt out, need advice, HELP!
#1
I've been pleased with Instantcert, used IC exclusively for all my DSSTs and ECEs, and have passed all tests up till now.... but I now have two Cleps, Natural Sciences & Social Sciences & History exams left, and there is not study guide already prepared by instantcert, why not???. Sad

I've been stressing about how to prepare for these Cleps and having major testers anxiety! I've recently come across "Cracking the Clep book," which is said to be the best tool to prepare for Cleps. I also paid for SpeedyPrep, but I'm nervous because it's a different study strategy than I'm used to since I've only used IC to prepare for the other tests.

Anyway, sorry to vent, but if anyone has any helpful advice, please share!! I need to take NS this Friday and SS&H next week. ...

Have you looked at the Specific Exam Feedback yet?

I have checked the exam specific section for SS&H and found some specific areas to concentrate on, but I've found NS to be very vague. :/ Maybe these tests are just so very broad that it's hard to narrow down the specifics. I am overwhelmed with IC on these subjects. I had to buy Speedyprep to study. Is Speedyprep a good study tool for Cleps?

Buy Princeton Review's Cracking the Clep. It has guides and sample tests for both of these. Its not too expensive.

For the natural sciences I would also tell you to watch the Khan Academy youtube videos.

I have taken both of these test. Natural Science is about 50% Biology so if you review those IC flashcards and some environment and humanity, light Chemistry ( rings and valence, chemical symbols and families in the periodic tables). some light Physical science and you are ready.

Both of these test have Free Peterson practice test, I found the Natural Science peterson harder than the real thing, but the Social Science and History was great predictor

Social Science and History is about 50/50 of each. I reviewded a little US history, a little World History, a touch of Anthropology and a the main concepts in Intro to Psych and Intro to Sociology.

For both test I did hit or miss review on the IC cards in related areas, to see if I had the main concepts. By the way, I passed both in the 60's.

You can do this, IC and Peterson can help.
