docmarvin, I took a long weekend and finished the three courses (total got 6 credits from them).
So, that would be 1 a day or so? Three days total to get 6 credits... not a bad deal at all...

I did Cyber 101 and 301 in less than a day. I started Cyber 201, but I already have ~21 credits in cybersecurity, so I got bored. If you focus on it, you'll absolutely be able to wrap up the courses this month.

TESU does not list EVERY course they will accept - they only list their own courses there. So, if you've taken a course similar to what is listed, there's a good chance it will come in where you think it will.
Many of us on this forum have taken all kinds of courses not on the list, and reported back here what things came in as. So you can always ask if you have any doubts.
Thank you dfrecore. I thought that to be the case, but I was not certain. So the Environmental Science DSST comes in as ENS 200 and that will count as 3 credits toward the Understanding the Physical and Natural World as well? I know in these forums people have said to contact TESU and ask them, but does that really work if you are not enrolled? I am starting my two kiddos down this path. One has 18 credits and the other 28. So we would not be applying to TESU for a while yet, so would they answer my questions even though we are not enrolled?
I'm not enrolled but over the years, I've emailed several questions to both TESU & COSC briefly explaining my enrollment status and briefly stating why it would be helpful to have an answer prior to enrolling. Each time, I have received an adequate or detailed reply. Think of it as a pre-sale contact. If they want your business later, they should to invest a little and answer your questions up front in order to put you on the proper path to success.

docmarvin here is the backstory on the TEEX cybersecurity courses. On Oct 2 (in the morning) the courses were valid for credit through present. My two signed up for the courses. Later that day I checked them again and they had backdated two of them to 9/30/17 and the other was slated to expire 10/31/17. I called ACE and told them that I had two students register for the courses based on the fact that the were valid for credit and now they were not. I was put on hold and then told, 'ok, the registrar will change all the dates to 10/31/17', not great, but at least it bought us some time. I then called TEEX about the courses and the person I spoke with was very surprised by what was going on. They were not informed by ACE that ACE was putting an end-date on these courses. TEEX checked their paperwork with ACE and I was told that their (TEEX) paperwork had no end date. So TEEX is in touch with ACE about this. They are very interested in keeping the courses available for college credit. I was told they are asking for (at minimum) an extension on the validity (for credit) for the courses while they prepare to have them re-evaluated. I believe they may also make an argument against ACE putting an end date on these courses since the original paperwork had no end date, but I don't know how that will go. Also, my two (high school aged) are pushing through 101 and 301 but that is all they can handle. I don't know how some of you are doing these courses in a day, but if you an get it done-more power to you! I can update here when I hear from TEEX if desired. Good Luck!

I wasn't able to do it during my long weekend. Geez. I started the first course at Cyber 101, (Cyber Law and White Collar Crime). I really spent that 10 hours posted. Tough if you don't have prior knowledge. Two more courses to earn that 2 credits.

Done with Cyber 101! It took me awhile with the first course (awr-168) but it got pretty easy after that. Awr-174 & 175 was more direct. Submitted my request to ACE. Now to next course. Cyber 201 or 301? Any tips? 201 have 4 courses on it while 301 only have 3. I have until the end of the month.

I did it in order: 101, 201, 301. There is some overlap so it gets easier.

I just checked and they're currently valid through the end of 2017. YMMV, of course ;-)
