[QUOTE=mlwilliamsiv]Thank you everyone for the kind words and encouragement, it is greatly appreciated.
I did notice in the TESC Program Planning Handbook that it does list Freshman College Composition with essay as an option for credit. I know that this is an old handbook so I'm going to send TESC an email on Monday to see if they can confirm this.

I failed the Civil War exam, I never did get up the steam to try again, but you'll try again with the Freshman comp- or maybe the TECEP. Oddly enough, I found the English questions VERY DIFFICULT. I'm fine on essays, so I felt good going in, but the questions were the "fingernails on a chalkboard" kind of thing for me....I cringe just thinking back about it.
I remember taking a class at TESC (Living in the Information Age) that required we pass these online skill builders. They were online quizzes- some in math, some in English. I thought the English quizzes were going to be the end of me. Here I was, taking these little 10 question quiz modules, and they were kicking my butt! For some reason, I had a difficult time with this one type of grammar (can't even remember it now) but I retook that sucker 12 times (really) and what eventually helped me pass, is that the questions started to repeat! So, I kept good notes, and eventually I earned that horrible 80% and moved onto the next section!
I have no moral to my story- just sharing your pain
I guess the up side is that you didn't score a 39....at least with a 49 you can just say you had a bad day
