I'm just trying to do a search for "college mathematics" and all post types... but it doesn't work.
Extremely frustrated with the search on this site. Looking for "college mathematics"

Yeah, sure... didn't think to go *out* to Google... and direct search back to this site. I figured, obviously incorrectly, that the forum search function here would work right.
Thanks.
Try this too for advanced search on this site:

Do not use the Peterson's practice tests to help you prepare for this particular exam. The practice test in the CLEP Official Study Guide is the best. Get a previous year's edition of the book because it has the same test but costs less.

Andrew, after all the detailed help you have gotten from this sight, for you to remark that you are better off in a general search in Google is a complete insult to any effort a lot of us have put into your specific inquiries. While you are probably quite correct that the search word functions of this sight leave a lot to be desired, which none us contributors can do anything about, something seems amiss with your comments. Please explain or don't waste anymore of our time.

It used to be that if you just typed something into the search box and clicked on the magnifying glass instead of "Advanced Search," the search function that this website used was Google. All of your results would be for DegreeForum. I don't know what happened to that function.

I hope what Andrew meant was that using Google to search this forum works better, not a general search in Google, especially since he included a quote from akulbe saying as much. I've also had better results using Google to search DF.

Once inside, you can filter by TITLE. That's the most efficient way. FYI, the reason you end up with a million responses on general search is because the search will match everything in the thread. There's nothing wrong with the search, you're just not filtering it enough. Good luck! P.S. Also go into the specific exam feedback folder, there is an entire folder for each exam, including College Math. |
