So I am looking at applying to Excelsior in the near future for either their BS Health Science Public Health emphasis or BS Natural Science with Biology concentration. I have also looked at TEUS BA Biology - not technically an online degree but the courses can be found at either UC SD extension or Doane. Also their BALS degree. Do they do a BS version?
I am looking at possibly taking some UExcel exams and maybe study.com. I have the credits mentioned below. The big reason for Excelsior is that they accept NA credits and I am currently studying at UoPeople but I don't want to do (or thing I'll be able to do) the internship to complete their degree.
Credits
Sophia: Accounting, Ancient Greek, Art History I, College Algebra, Foundations of College Algebra, Foundations of Statistics, Intro to Ethics, Intro to IT, Intro to Psychology, Intro to Sociology, Intro to Statistics, Macroeconomics [36 credits]
Saylor: BIO101 (in progress), CHEM101 (in progress), CS302 (in progress)
A levels: Georgraphy, Marine Biology
UoPeople: ENGL 1102 (in progress), HIST 1421 (in progress), UNIV 1001,
PSYC 1111, POLS 1503, BIOL 1121, BIOL 1301, ENVS 1301, CS 1101, CS 1102 [25 credits]
UoPortsmouth: BN Adult Nursing [360 credits UK/ 90 credits US]
The Open Uni: BSc Sports Science (in progress), DipHE (E60) [240 credits UK/60 credits US]
International: UK
Future degree:
MSc Criminology & Criminal Psychology - Essex University
MBA - ENEB
Degrees in process:
BS Health Science 2024 - The University of the People
BSc Open (Health focus) 2023 - The Open University
Degrees completed:
BN Adult Nursing 2020 - Portsmouth University
Credits: Sophia (81)

TESU doesn't have a BS Biology, unfortunately. They have Health Services Technology, but it'd probably be difficult, if not impossible, to get most of the credits for that degree. https://www.tesu.edu/ast/programs/bs/health-services
Excelsior would certainly be easier. But they do require a total of 30 UL credits (the capstone & cornerstone can both be UL) and I'm not sure that SDC has enough UL credits. SDC has 6 Health courses that are upper-level: Health 301 (ethics), Health 302 (health science elective), Health 303 (health science elective), Health 305 (free elective), Health 307 (free elective), and Health 309 (free elective). No science (chem, bio) courses are UL.
Coopersmith has a handful of UL courses that might work for some of this: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Co...Consulting
If you can transfer in the UL courses from UoPeople, that might be your only option for being able to complete the Health Science or Natural Science degrees at TESU. Otherwise, the only degrees that one can easily get at Excelsior without taking a bunch of EC courses are History, Liberal Arts, and (I think) Psychology or Social Sciences.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Thank you, I will look into taking those SDC courses.
I have seen BS Health Science or Public Health degrees from other universities/colleges so I think it's best build up my credits and see when they fit by the time I'm ready to transfer.

If you are set on the BS Health Science or Public Health, I would choose a different school. I might even get an inexpensive bachelor's degree somewhere like EC or UMPI first, and then get a 2nd bachelor's or masters in your chosen field.

I have a few unis/colleges in mind just working out how many credits I need to do at each place.

Interesting, you're from the UK? Have you thought of completing your education through "Top Ups" instead? There are a few schools that have options...

Online 'top-ups' rarely exist or require work-based learning UK that is. Where are you thinking?
