Exams to count towards TESC Communications Electives?
#1
Hi All!

Does anyone know of any other tests that will fulfill Communications Electives for a BA in Communications from TESC?

We have found 5 (maybe 6) tests: Technical Writing (DSST), Intro to News Reporting (TECEP), Marketing Communications (TECEP), Interpersonal Communications (ECE), Business Communications (Saylor), and possibly Public Relations Thought and Practice (TECEP). However, there are 8 courses required in that area, and we are hoping to complete those with exams rather than online courses.

Any other test options or information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'm planning to enroll for a BA in Communications with TESC early next year and I've come up with pretty much the same list as you. It's depressing, but I think it's pretty much inevitable that we'll need to transfer at least a few credits in.

If it helps any, ECE's Workplace Communication with Computers and Straighterline's Business Communication should also satisfy the Managerial Communications elective.

Hey! Just curious whether you've managed to find any other courses to satisfy the electives? I came across a thread that listed a couple of online community colleges a while ago that offer courses at roughly $50 per credit hour. There's a few options available that would probably satisfy the communications electives too. You might want to take a look.
