English Comp w/Essay -

Anyone prepping for this - can't believe school won't accept my BS w/ freshman writing, but they won't......so I'm going to try clepping! Thx.

I'm helping my daughter prep for this. She's doing well on the mult choice questions but the essay isn't going so well so I'm signing her up for a 4 week SAT essay writing course. Hopefully that will help. But as far as the studying is going, she's basically doing a ton of practice test and watching English Grammar dvds and Education-Portal.com videos.

I cant remember which study guide I used for this CLEP, but I remember browsing it the night before and getting a pretty good score on the test. The guide will show you the big things to look for in each section of the test so that you can pretty much eliminate the wrong answers in the multiple choice selections. Also the guide will also show you what a perfect essay, a decent essay, a mediocre essay and a bad essay will look like and will go over different writing tips and ideas. I'd recommend getting a guide and perusing over it with your daughter. Maybe even have her work out a few of the practice questions and even do up a couple essays based on how it's done in the book.
