Well, the Composition, Public Speaking, and History many of us will have. The FEMA Core and all those IS's (I'm going on the assumption those are free to take) we can do. And there's the 2 requirements for cop/security/fire. The certificate sheet I downloaded doesn't specifically state "15 hrs" (sfaik), and MAYBE Dr. Crouch has some discretion there. Just sayin'.

But yeah, a single 1-credit course probably wouldn't sub for the 2 cop/security/fire. Throwing it out there in case someone can build on it. Maybe in all those FEMA classes there's an acceptable sub. I'm working on the free PDS Series now, so I can get the certificate, and probably over time will go through a bunch of the other classes. I'm moving out of the country soon, but the topics covered are applicable to communities everywhere Smile

I'm going to do criminal justice from SL, but I'm still looking for the 2nd course. I found a 1 credit NFA course in fire admin, but that's about it.

What about the FEMA core? It looks like some things have changed?

IS 700 and IS-100.LEb match up, so those look OK.   But...

What Three Rivers calls IS 800 National Response Plan  has a different name on FEMA: National Response Framework, An Introduction.  It also says on the FEMA site "This course is currently being reviewed and revised to incorporate new information from the recently revised National Response Framework. This course will remain available for completion until the revised course is implemented."

Also, what about IS 546?  Three Rivers calls it IS 546 Continuity of Operations.
That matches IS-546.a Continuity of Operations Awareness Course
but that seems like a really short course and they also offer
IS-547.a Introduction to Continuity of Operations

Did anyone use IS 800 with it's updated name? Also, which Continuity of Ops course did you use?

This was the program list in 2016.  I think he has a little judgement room, but you really need to email him.  He is the sole judge on it.

I agree that the certificate does not look that neat.  It is still a college signed certificate representing nine courses.  That is enough for me.  It is still good for one line on a resume.  That being said every certificate I get I just scan and forget.  I do not have a love me wall.

Sent my info in right before summer started and got the auto reply back saying he was out for the summer, but the other day I got an email saying he is reviewing my info and will get back to me in a week or so.

Still haven't found the second CJ requirement course. Oh well, cool option for those who already have it.
