Elmwood Institute MLM - My Experiences
|
I enrolled the day it was posted here and got a response that I was accepted after sending in the questionnaire and all the transcripts the day that I began this thread.
I will be posting more as soon as I get registered and logged in and my studies begin on September 1st. And as soon as I posted that I got my registration and logins. Simple user-friendly interface, I'm enrolled in BUS 602: Essentials of Management. (I opted for 1 because at that stage didn't know I could CBE it and take more each month.) I'm going to root around in my profile and pay my $75. So far a very easy no-hassle beginning. Now we'll see how the classes themselves are. Essentially, there seems to be 18 proctored exams, after each lesson? Can't they have non-proctored exams for these and have a proctored final instead? If this is for one class, that's going to cost people energy, money (if they can't get free proctors), time...

No subordinates, Elmwood staff, etc. So a buddy of yours can proctor after filling out the oath and sending in the required info.

Wow. That’s a lot of exams. And no retakes. Yikes. I wonder if you could set up an online group proctor. Or do any libraries or community schools offer it as a free or cheap service. I’d feel weird having a friend come over to watch me take a test. Then I’d feel obligated to entertain.

I'm not sure that every exam is proctored. I'm thinking it may only be the Final. The syllabus shows "Proctor Attestation" after the lessons but before the Final Exam.

They are not all proctored, according to my communications with Elmwood Institute. There are maybe 4-6 proctored examinations for the entire degree.

Correct. only the final in this course is proctored.

Yeah, that's what I thought, 1 final exam that's proctored... It was just a little confusing why they have so many extra exams, but I guess it's for students to 'gauge' how well they are doing. I'm not sure if those exams are going to factor into the grades or not, if they are, and you get a near perfect score, you'll do better on the final and have lesser to worry about.
