I guess actually you don't need 100% on the ed4 quizzes, you just need at least 50% on the final, and with that score your average of all quizzes and final need to be above 70%. Pretty lenient.

jsd Wrote:If you get 100% on the quizzes leading up to the final. Just like Study.com's new grading. Actually you need to score at least 50% regardless of how you did on the quizzes. In the example ED4credit gives of nine tests and the final counting as the 10th test, assuming you got 100 on all the tests and a 40 on the final your overall grade is 94% (well beyond passing) but still would not be a pass because at least a 50% is required on the final.
EDIT: Looks like JSD figured it out, I didn't see your post before I responded because it was the 21st post and on the next page which I didn't see.

Here's a guick update on Aging & Society: I've been extremely grateful for this quiz/final exam format– definitely takes alot of the pressure off of having one exam be the sole factor of a pass/fail (with the final exam only needing to be a 50%!). If you're towards the end of your degree and have multiple psych, sociology, and business courses under your belt already, this will be easy UL credit!!

To clarify, this is not UL credit with ACE, right? Maybe for TESU?

To clarify, it is actually 55% on the final, still more than generous.

It is not UL on ACE, however I did speak with my TESU advisor and they have it as UL on my transcript (as shown on their website Alternative Credit Project). If you are going to TESU, definitely speak with an advisor and ensure that it will complete a requirement you need.

This was the only course I have taken through them. I would do their Abnormal Psych, but I have the TECEP already scheduled for this month. I need to submit an email listing some discrepencies that I found through the course exams, however it never kept me from passing the course. Having many sociology and psychology courses (and business too), much of the info I found was something I was already at least a bit familiar with. Definitely one of the easiest online courses I've taken (next the Sophia's Visual Comm.)!

Good to know. I liked my Sophia course too. Have you taken any study.com or SL courses? I'm interested to know how those two methods compare with ed4credit as well.

No, I haven't. I've only taken Sophia (definitely still my favorite in terms of actually learning material that was hard to understand!), Pearson, CollegePlus/Lumerit courses, CLEP, DSST, Liberty, and TESU. I opted for this course instead of a Study.com since this would be UL credit.
