I need to take four TECEP exams between now and October 1 in order to graduate in December. Business Policy and Business in Society are required, so that's settled. And I've chosen Advertising because I've already taken CLEP Marketing, and I've heard there's some overlap.
So, I still need to choose one more test. Here are my TECEP options:
- Federal Income Taxation
- Security Analysis and Portfolio Management
- Financial Institutions and Markets
- Marketing Communications
- Sales Management
- Operations Management
There is hardly any feedback for any of these exams, so for those who have taken some of these, which ones would not be too difficult?
I'm leaning toward Operations Management since IC has flashcards for that test.
Thanks!

I would do some research into Marketing Communications and Sales Mgmt (find out the recommended books and review the online student resourses for the books) since they are closely related to the other subjects you have taken. Operations Mgmt was not easy..... I would think that both Marketing Comm and Sales Mgmt would be much easier.

Good point, Geezer....That makes sense.
I have heard others say that Operations Management was pretty hard too, so I guess I won't be taking that one.

Hey Andrew!
I took the Sales Management and didn't think it was difficult. I am "all about" the multiple choice tests -- give me 100 questions where the answer is right in front of me and I just have to recognize it and I'll be happy.
Having said that, my experience has been that TECEPs are the most poorly worded of any tests I've taken (includes: Dantes, Clep, GRE, and ECE). But, I used only the textbooks provided in the TECEP guide and passed with no problem. I should also mention that I have no Sales or Sales Mgmt experience. Another thing is, if you've taken Human Resources (which I assume you have for a BSBA) there is a small amount of HR overlap (hiring practices, interviewing, performance reviews, etc.) in the Mgmt part of Sales Mgmt.
I have not taken any of the others so I can't offer any help on those. Good luck!

I haven't heard that, but if it's true, I would like to know. Have you found the thread?

Correct, the new Business Ethics and Society DSST fulfills the TESC Business in Society requirement.
I am taking this Dantes exam this afternoon.

I just took this using nothing but IC and got a 441. Studied less than 4 hours. It was P/F for me so I FORCED myself to study and test (I'm a cronic over studier.) Counted as Ethics and Upper for me at Excelsior.

Now if only there were a business communications DSST.

Yeah, really. In fact, I'm trying to register for the TESC online course right now for Managerial Communications.
Are you taking Guided Study or Online?
