Hey, guys. I'm trying to find some "easy-ish" TECEP's that will fulfill some of my core education requirements. I'm curious to know what you guys think of English Comp I & II?
(P.S. I'm focusing on TECEP's because I can use these towards my 24-credit residency under the military degree completion program.)
Thanks for the help!!!

The english composition TECEPs have received very positive reviews! Great choice!
I would also recommend: ENG-201, CIS-107, MAT-105, POS-101 & SOC-101.
If female, definitely PSY-270. The new ENG-202 would most likely be easily doable for someone in the military. And finally, POS-282 if you enjoy the subject.
Good luck!

Further to that, I would recommend TECEPS that are similar to the ones you are going to CLEP/DSST.
This is for the overlapping of the course materials and you can study similar resources to get the credits faster.
Hopefully it'll be easier as well, since it will only require you to study additional topics that may not be fully covered.

How is that POS-101 TECEP? I've heard the American Gov't CLEP is really hard to pass... Can the TECEP really that much easier?
Thanks for all the great input!

The course is intro to political science. I was told it is easier than american government. But if also interested in american government, and want something less strenuous than the clep, consider study.com. Apply for the guardian scholarship and get six courses free of charge. Wonderful opportunity for TESU students as they have quite a few courses that transfer as upper level.

I second this. I have taken English Comp II (ENC-102), Tech Writing (ENG-201), Computers (CIS-107), Applied Liberal Arts Math (MAT-105) and Public Relations (COM-209). I thought the easiest was Math, if you take ALEKS Intermediate Algebra you can pass this easily (I got a 90% on it after that course). Tech Writing was next easiest, no book to buy either, and I didn't study. Next, toss up between English and Computers. No studying there, and the English Handbook can be found in your local library (open book exam). PR was the hardest, even though it was entirely multiple choice - I just thought the info was harder to digest. I read some of the book, and did a lot of the IC flashcards, and still thought it was hard (my lowest grade of 70%).
I would suggest Tech Writing before English just so that you can get a feel for how TECEP's that aren't all multiple choice work. The setup of the whole thing sucks beyond belief, but the actual test isn't that hard. Then take English I & II.

Does anyone know if the Applied Math TECEP is a duplicate of the College Math CLEP? (In other words, could I get credit for both?)

They do not duplicate. The TECEP is MAT-105, and the CLEP is MAT 102/103. If you are good at math, and don't have a ton of credits, I think a bunch of the math courses/exams is a great option. I would have taken more, but didn't need the credits.

Thanks for the great ideas! Are there study materials for these TECEPs? Unlike the CLEP (where you can find study materials galore), the TECEPs are intimidating because there aren't practice tests or flashcards to be found. Or, am I just missing something?
Thanks for all the input!

If you can write a complete paragraph, you can pass the English II exam. The exam guide will tell you the study materials, but I didn't use them.
